The school earned International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme authorization in 2021 and is pursuing Primary Years Programme and Middle Years Programme candidacy. NEASC accreditation was granted in 2022. In 2023 Beacon joined SEK Education Group and appointed a new Head of School to lead the school. | History The Bahrain Bayan School (BBS) was established in 1982 by Dr. Sh. May Al Otaibi as an independent, national, co-educational bilingual school serving Kindergarten through Grade 12.
