Application fee
- A one-time, non-refundable admission fee of EUR 850.00 is charged for each new enrolment (Kindergarten and School). The admission fee is due within two weeks of written confirmation of admission and cannot be offset against the annual tuition. If the admission fee is not received on time the registration becomes void; if the pupil does not attend, the admission fee is not refunded.
Tuition fees by year group (annual, per term (semester), and per 5-installment payment)
- Kindergarten (Mon–Fri 07:30–17:00): - Annual fee: EUR 4,797.00. - Per term (semester) – annual fee ÷ 2: EUR 2,398.50. - Per instalment when paid in 5 equal rates – annual fee ÷ 5: EUR 959.40.
- Vorschule / Pre‑school (Mon–Fri 07:30–17:00): - Annual fee: EUR 5,690.00. - Per term (semester): EUR 2,845.00. - Per 5 instalments: EUR 1,138.00.
- Primary School (Grundschule, Grades 1–4; Mon–Thu 08:00–14:00, Fri 08:00–13:00): - Annual fee: EUR 7,448.00. - Per term (semester): EUR 3,724.00. - Per 5 instalments: EUR 1,489.60.
- Lower Secondary (Sekundarstufe, Grades 5–10): - Annual fee: EUR 7,672.00. - Per term (semester): EUR 3,836.00. - Per 5 instalments: EUR 1,534.40.
- Upper Secondary (Sekundarstufe, Grades 11–12): - Annual fee: EUR 7,795.00. - Per term (semester): EUR 3,897.50. - Per 5 instalments: EUR 1,559.00.
(Per-term and per-installment figures above are arithmetical divisions of the stated annual fees; the school's published amounts are the annual fees listed above.)
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Annual tuition is payable either in full in advance by 1 September or in 5 instalments. The instalment due dates are: - 1st instalment: due by 01 September. - 2nd instalment: due by 01 November. - 3rd instalment: due by 01 January. - 4th instalment: due by 01 March. - 5th instalment: due by 01 May. - The school issues payment requests and invoices by e-mail; guardians are responsible for ensuring the school has a correct, current e-mail address for billing.
- If a pupil leaves during a running school year the annual fee for the current, already-begun semester (half-year) is due in full; exceptions require a board decision. Temporary leaves (e.g., exchange programmes) do not suspend the obligation to pay fees unless the board decides otherwise.
Boarding fees
- Boarding is not applicable. The published hours and fees reference day programmes for Kindergarten, Vorschule and school grades, and no boarding or residential fees are listed; therefore there are no boarding fees to pay (inference from the published fee schedule and stated operational hours).
Other costs and additional fees
- Costs explicitly excluded from the annual tuition and payable in addition to the annual fee: - Schoolbooks, workbooks and classroom materials (materials are ordered separately via an external supplier and invoiced directly). - Class trips and specific school projects, unless otherwise stated. - Daily meals (canteen) are organised by an external provider and are payable separately to that provider.
- After‑school activities and optional offers (prices per school year): - Extracurricular working groups (AG) – EUR 160.00 per AG-hour (per school year). - For primary school (Grades 1–4) ‘‘Werkstatt'' / free-play sessions and ‘‘Aktiv entspannen'' – EUR 160.00 for each started 60-minute unit (per school year). - Homework support for the gymnasium (short session length as described) – EUR 160.00 for each started unit (per school year). - Registration for these additional offers is binding at the start of the school year and the annual charge is payable in advance; no refunds are made for these charges once invoiced. External-provider offerings may be charged separately to parents under their own terms.
Discounts and reductions
- Sibling discount: for families with more than one child enrolled, the annual tuition is reduced by 10% for each child from the second child onward; this sibling discount applies only to school tuition fees and not to Kindergarten or Vorschule fees. - Fee reductions for hardship may be granted by the school board in individual cases; such reductions are subject to application, documentation and board approval, are valid for one school year only, and the admission fee and additional activity costs are excluded from any reduction.
Refund information
- Refunds (where applicable) are paid only to the bank account from which the original payment was made. - In cases of unavoidable extraordinary circumstances (force majeure, e.g., natural disasters, war, pandemics), the school may provide instruction by alternative means (for example online). Such alternative provision is considered equivalent fulfilment of contractual obligations; parents agree in advance that partial or full interruption of on-site school operations for reasons beyond the school's control does not automatically entitle them to a reduction or refund of the annual fee.
Payment options and bank details
- Payment method specified: bank transfer to the school association's account. The published account details are: - Account holder: Njemačka školska udruga - IBAN: HR50 2407 0001 1006 2216 6 - SWIFT/BIC: OTPVHR2X. - Invoicing and payment communications are sent by e-mail. No alternative payment methods (e.g., credit card) are specified in the published fee regulations; bank transfer is the required method for tuition payments as specified.
Late payment and consequences
- If tuition or additional fees are not paid by the due date, the school issues a payment reminder 7 days after the deadline. If payment remains outstanding, a first dunning notice is issued 21 days after the reminder and, if unpaid, a second dunning notice follows 7 days later. - If outstanding amounts remain unpaid after the dunning process the case may be referred to a lawyer or debt collection agency; resulting collection and/or legal costs are charged to the responsible guardian. - If fees due for a school year are not paid by 31 July, the school reserves the right to terminate the school contract without notice and to suspend services until full payment is received.
Fee details
Application fees
- No separate application fee is listed for admissions; there is no published one-off application charge for entry to the primary school.
Tuition fees (by academic year / per-term / per-year-group)
- Annual tuition: EUR 6,700.00 per pupil for the school year. - Instalment option: EUR 670.00 per month over 10 months (totaling EUR 6,700.00). There is no published per-term breakdown; the published amounts are the annual total and the monthly instalment option. - The published tuition figure applies to students enrolled in the school's primary programme (all grade levels offered by the primary school are covered by the single published tuition amount).
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Payment options shown include a full annual fee or an instalment plan of EUR 670.00 per month for 10 months. Specific invoice dates, due dates, late-payment penalties, and formal billing schedule details are not published. - A 10% discount is applied to the tuition amount for the second child from the same family.
Boarding fees
- Boarding is not applicable; the school operates as a day school (full-day programme 08:00–14:00) and no boarding fees are published.
Other costs and additional fees
- Organised transport (optional): EUR 150.00 per month for school transport services. - Meals: Two meals (breakfast and lunch) and a snack are included within the published tuition. - Extracurricular/learning items included: tuition includes lessons delivered through the IB PYP methodology, cjelodnevni boravak (full-day care 08:00–14:00), a second foreign language (German), and two school uniforms. - Any additional optional activities, extra uniforms beyond the included two, external excursions that require extra fees, textbooks or school-supplied materials beyond what is explicitly listed are not detailed in the published fee summary.
Refund information
- No explicit refund policy, cancellation terms, or conditions for partial refunds of tuition are published alongside the fee figures. No details on refunds for unused instalments or withdrawal mid-year are provided in the published fee summary.
Accepted fee payment methods
- Accepted payment methods (for example: bank transfer, direct debit, credit card, or other electronic payment methods) are not specified in the published fee information.
Brief note on unpublished details (summary of missing items)
- The published information gives an annual tuition figure (EUR 6,700) and the monthly instalment amount, the 10% sibling discount, transport monthly fee (EUR 150), and items included in tuition, but does not publish any of the following: a separate application fee, per-term fee breakdown, distinct fees by individual year groups within primary, formal billing dates or invoice schedule, explicit refund or withdrawal conditions, or the school's accepted payment methods.

Schulgebühren (Tuition and Fees) – translations of relevant provisions
Article 3 Admission and registration fee - The DISZ is open to children of all nationalities. Enrollment and the right to attend classes occur after examination and written confirmation by the school management, provided the admission requirements are met. - For each new enrollment in Kindergarten and in the school, a one-time non-refundable admission fee for the 2025/26 school year is €850, due within two weeks after the school's admission confirmation. If the admission fee is not paid on time, the registration becomes void. - The admission fee is due in full and cannot be credited against the annual tuition. - The admission fee is payable in full regardless of personal circumstances or the time of entry; if schooling does not take place, the admission fee is not refunded.
Article 4 Annual fees and after-school costs - The annual fee entitles attendance at the Kindergarten and School during the current school year and is due under the terms below via bank transfer to the school association's account. - The annual fees are: - Kindergarten and Preschool: €4,797.00 (Kindergarten, Mon–Fri 07:30–17:00); €5,690.00 (Preschool, Mon–Fri 07:30–17:00) - Primary School, Grades 1–4: €7,448.00 (Mon–Thu 08:00–14:00, Fri 08:00–13:00) plus language support and homework assistance - Secondary, Grades 5–10: €7,672.00 - Secondary, Grades 11–12: €7,795.00 - The annual fee includes operating costs (rent, salaries, operating costs, insurances, etc.) for the school year; textbooks, workbooks, field trips, and the various after-school courses or other school projects are not included. An external website will be provided to order and pay for textbooks and materials for the following school year. - Meals are organized by an external service provider and are charged separately. - The school offers after-school activities Mo–Thu until 17:00 and Fri until 15:00; prices for after-school activities include, for all levels (Grades 1–12), clubs (AG) and, for Primary, a workshop and other activities with per-hour rates shown in the fee schedule (e.g., 160 EUR per hour).
Article 5 Inflation adjustment - Annual fee adjustments may occur by the board's decision, usually reflecting the Croatian statistical office's inflation rate for the previous year or other relevant conditions. Updated annual fees are published by March 31 of the year preceding the new school year.
Article 6 Hardship reductions - Generally, there is no entitlement to tuition reductions. The board may approve reductions in cases of proven financial need, based on the association's statutes. Applications for reductions must be submitted by May 31 for the following school year and will be decided by June 30 via email; all applications are confidential. Documentation may include income, assets, and other relevant financial information. - If reductions are granted, they are typically granted as a deferral of payment rather than an immediate reduction, and they may be cancelled if circumstances change. - Reductions do not apply to the admission fee or other ancillary costs (e.g., after-school care, activities). - Actual discounts for hardship are not guaranteed and are subject to the board's discretion.
Article 7 Discounts - For families with several DISZ enrollments, the annual tuition is reduced by 10% for each additional child starting from the second child. This discount applies to tuition fees only; no discount applies to Kindergarten or Preschool. - The reduction rules apply correspondingly to hardship reductions. - If a student receives a performance scholarship, other discounts are not allowed.
Article 8 Payment modalities - The annual tuition can be paid in full in advance by September 1, or in 5 installments with due dates listed on the invoices. - Installment due dates are: 1st by September 1; 2nd by November 1; 3rd by January 1; 4th by March 1; 5th by May 1. - Individual installment arrangements are not possible.
Note: The above reflects the DISZ fee policy and is subject to board decisions and official announcements. The figures and rules in the school's current fee schedule (Art. 3–8) apply for the 2025/26 school year and can be updated annually.
