Curriculum details Primary level follows the Austrian primary school curriculum (grades 0–4) with German as the first language and English taught intensively as a second language, supported by DaZ/DaF. Secondary level follows the Austrian lower secondary curriculum (AHS) for grades 5–8; material is taught partly in English. Admissions	Admissions The school requires high proficiency in English, strong academic achievement, and a high level of self-discipline for admission to Highschool. The admission process includes an interview with the applicant and parents, visitation days at the school, tests in mathematics, English, and German, submission of a motivational letter, and an interview with two members of the faculty. International Highschool Herzogberg is an official IB world school and registered for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.	Admissions You would like to enrol your child with MCA? MCA welcomes all students, regardless of origin, ethnicity, nationality and religion. Visit us on our Open Day (the 1st Tuesday in October, November and May) and/or arrange a personal tour so we can show you around. Siblings of MCA students are given priority for admission. Registration deadlines are published in the Primary and Secondary parent information. Placement for grades 0–8 takes place directly at MCA after we receive the completed registration form, and a placement date is arranged. A parental interview is required for admission. Basic admission requirements include commitment to the goals and values of MCA; sufficient language skills in German or English; adherence to the school rules as described in the student handbook and signed by parents; sufficient financial means to cover school fees; and medical fitness to attend the school.

At the start of each school year (September) we collect the necessary data from parents who wish to apply for a scholarship. Rules for granting a scholarship and the application form are provided. The School Board, consisting of five members (representatives of teachers, parents and the Finance Board), decides which pupils receive scholarships and the amount, based on the agreed principles. Fundraising: MCA is financed by school fees, Federation subsidies and donations from Christian circles and sponsors; fundraising activities help cover the costs of Christian education and school life. Donations support school grants to pupils who would otherwise not be able to attend; the administration regards it as an honour to steward funds for the benefit of the children and we aim to keep fees affordable. Forms for applying for a scholarship can be obtained from the school secretary; all applications should be addressed to the treasurer responsible for finances.
