Curriculum details
Curriculum details
Primary level follows the Austrian primary school curriculum (grades 0–4) with German as the first language and English taught intensively as a second language, supported by DaZ/DaF. Secondary level follows the Austrian lower secondary curriculum (AHS) for grades 5–8; material is taught partly in English. The school plans to expand to a secondary school diploma (Matura) in the near future. From the 5th grade, French is introduced as a second foreign language and becomes a main subject from the 7th grade.
Curriculum details
Primary Education for grades 1–6 follows the Swedish curriculum, Lgr 22. Since 2012, the school has Öffentlichkeitsrecht from the Austrian School Board, enabling legally recognized Schulzeugnisse and smooth transitions to Austrian or international schools. Education takes place in small groups with a high teacher-to-student ratio; all teachers are fully qualified and participate in ongoing professional development. The program blends Swedish curriculum standards with Austrian educational standards to provide a versatile foundation for future learning. Language learning is a priority: grades 2–6 receive four German lessons per week, grade 1 two; lessons are taught by native-speaking teachers in Swedish, German, and English, with cultural activities and collaboration with an Austrian partner school to support integration. Digitalisation is developed with iPads and Chromebooks in every class and projectors in the classrooms. In Kindergarten, Lönneberga is bilingual with Swedish and German spoken equally.

Scholarships
Scholarships
Scholarships: An application guide is provided. At the start of each school year (September) we collect the necessary data from parents who wish to apply for a scholarship. Rules for granting a scholarship and the application form are provided. The School Board, consisting of five members (representatives of teachers, parents and the Finance Board), decides which pupils receive scholarships and the amount, based on the agreed principles. Fundraising: MCA is financed by school fees, Federation subsidies and donations from Christian circles and sponsors; fundraising activities help cover the costs of Christian education and school life. Donations support school grants to pupils who would otherwise not be able to attend; the administration regards it as an honour to steward funds for the benefit of the children and we aim to keep fees affordable. Forms for applying for a scholarship can be obtained from the school secretary; all applications should be addressed to the treasurer responsible for finances. Tax deductibility in Austria is noted on the site.
