Tuition fees for the 2026/2027 academic year (annual and per‑term by year group)
Note: tuition is published as an annual amount for 2026–2027; the school calendar is organised around three main teaching blocks across the academic year, so the per‑term figures below show the annual amount divided by three teaching terms (annual ÷ 3). The per‑term figures are presented to two decimal places.

Additional costs (examples and typical amounts)
- MYP yearly school trip (5 days/4 nights): approximate budget EUR 1,300 to EUR 1,600 (all MYP students are required to participate). - DP school trip: additional cost where applicable (amount varies by trip). - School pictures (variable). - From Grade 4 onwards, students must have their own laptop with access to Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (family purchase). - Homework club / Garderie / After‑school activities: these are charged in addition to tuition; the school's after‑school services list a standard rate of EUR 10 per hour for Homework Club (PYP 1–5) and Garderie (5:00–6:00 pm). - Hot lunch (annual charge): example published annual hot‑lunch fees for 2025–2026 were EUR 1,608 for PYP and EUR 1,488 for MYP 1–3; hot‑lunch billing is handled separately and payment instructions (bank transfer) are supplied on the hot‑lunch order form.
Boarding and transport
- Montgomery International School is a day school; the school does not operate its own school bus service and families typically use third‑party transport providers. There are no boarding fees.
Billing schedule and payment terms (summary of published practice and available public details)
- Tuition figures are published as annual amounts for the 2026/2027 academic year. The school's admissions steps indicate that the family submits enrolment documents and payment in order to secure a seat and that families are asked to upload proof of payment as part of enrolment. The public fee page does not list a detailed invoice schedule or standard instalment dates for tuition; the school's published materials (e.g., specific programme forms and admissions policy) show that payments by bank transfer with proof of payment are used for specific items.
Refund information
- Waiting‑list fee: the published admissions policy states that the EUR 2,000 waiting‑list payment is refundable if the family chooses not to enrol after being offered a seat (the policy specifies a two‑week confirmation window and refund conditions). - No other specific refund schedule for tuition or registration is published on the school's publicly posted tuition page for the 2026/2027 fees (refund terms for other fees are not specified in the public fee summary).
Fee payment options and bank details (as shown on published school forms)
- Bank transfer is used for fee payments shown on school forms. The school account shown on hot‑lunch and other school forms: Banque Fortis — IBAN BE64 0015 8979 6452 — BIC GEBABEBB (payment forms instruct families to send proof of payment). - The admissions process requires families to upload proof of payment to complete enrolment steps.
Summary of key fee figures (2026/2027)
- Annual tuition (PYP1–PYP5): EUR 26,000; per term EUR 8,666.67. - Annual tuition (MYP1–MYP3): EUR 27,850; per term EUR 9,283.33. - Annual tuition (MYP4–MYP5): EUR 28,950; per term EUR 9,650.00. - Annual tuition (DP1): EUR 33,100; per term EUR 11,033.33. - Annual tuition (DP2): EUR 33,750; per term EUR 11,250.00. - One‑time registration fee (new students): EUR 2,000; annual administration fee (returning students): EUR 1,650. - Hot lunch (example annual rates): PYP EUR 1,608; MYP 1–3 EUR 1,488 (hot‑lunch payments require bank transfer details and proof of payment on the order form).
(Where an exact billing timetable, instalment plan schedule, or a broader set of published payment methods for tuition was not listed on the public tuition page, the school's admission materials and payment forms indicate that payment by bank transfer with proof of payment is used for named items and that families must submit payment to secure a place. For enrolment, refer to the school's admissions procedure which sets out that payment is required to secure a seat and proof of payment must be uploaded.)
Per‑term (how fees are presented and typical payment structure)
- Fees are published and invoiced on an annual basis; the school issues invoices annually in May for the following school year. Because fees are set and invoiced annually, there is no official per‑term charge published. Families may choose the school's instalment plan, which spreads the annual tuition into monthly payments; the instalment plan divides tuition into up to 10 monthly payments (July–April). For simple budgeting, an approximate per‑term figure can be obtained by dividing the annual tuition by the number of academic terms you choose to use for your own budgeting (the school does not publish an official per‑term schedule).
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Invoices for the following school year are issued annually in May. - Invoices for students joining during the school year are issued before the enrolment date. - Invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date or prior to the student's start date. - The parent (or legal guardian) is always responsible for payment of school fees regardless of any employer arrangements.
Payment methods and terms
- All fees are due and payable in EUR. Payments can be made by bank transfer to The International School of Brussels at BNP Paribas Fortis. - Bank transfer details (for payments by bank transfer): SWIFT: GEBABEBB; IBAN: BE71 2100 5790 1069. - Consolidated monthly invoices (for items such as lunch, athletics, music, ISB Plus) can be paid by bank transfer or by direct debit (SEPA mandate). - There is no published option on the fee page for credit‑card payment; available options shown are bank transfer and SEPA direct debit.
Instalment / payment plan
- A family instalment scheme is available to individuals (not open to companies paying tuition). - Typical administrative fee: EUR 200 per family, annually. - The instalment calculation uses the cost of tuition plus an interest rate of 1% above the current EUR Central Bank rate and may be divided into up to 10 monthly instalments (July–April). - The instalment scheme applies only to tuition fees (does not include bus fees or other related costs).
Bus fees
- Return trip (annual): EUR 3,140. - One‑way only (annual): EUR 2,385. - Bus fees are charged annually; there is no reimbursement of bus fees due to an inability to use the service. - The school offers a separate payment plan for families who would otherwise find it difficult to pay the annual bus fee.
Other costs and optional charges
- Cafeteria: daily lunch is paid through student lunch accounts; a lost lunch card carrying fee of EUR 10 will be billed if a card is lost. - Co‑curricular activities and ISB Plus: costs for clubs, activities and ISB Plus are optional and billed through the consolidated monthly invoice. - Musical instrument rental: EUR 210 per year (rental from the school). - Athletics fees: billed per season/per sport; typical player fees noted are EUR 270 for JV/Varsity teams and EUR 170 for U14 teams (additional travel costs for tournaments billed separately). - International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme: students taking the IB will be billed for IB exam and administrative fees and any external examination expenses requested by the student. - Other potential costs (examples): school trips, seasonal team travel, specialty courses, therapy or additional student support services — these are billed as they occur via the consolidated invoice.
Refunds, adjustments and pro‑ration
- Students who leave early: for students who have paid the full tuition (and bus, where applicable) and who leave before the last day of January, 25% of the tuition (and bus) fee will be reimbursed by the school. If a student leaves after the last day of January, there is no reimbursement of fees already paid. - Students who enrol late: the school publishes monthly pro‑rata amounts by level (the published schedule shows the reduced amounts for each month if a student starts after the academic year begins). The published pro‑rata schedule is used to calculate fees for late enrolment and for partial months; students starting within a month will be asked to pay for the full month.
Boarding
- Boarding is not provided as a standard full‑time option; the International School of Brussels operates as a day school for its student population. (Overnight/boarding arrangements may be referenced only in limited, event‑specific contexts such as camps where temporary overnight accommodation is arranged.)

Admissions
Schedule a virtual appointment or a school visit with the link we will send you. Meet with our Admissions Team. Apply on our Open Apply Admissions platform to begin the formal application. STEP 2: Share your child's last two years of school reports when applicable. Submit a reference when applicable. The admissions team reviews these documents to assess fit with MIS programs and language expectations. STEP 3: Grade placement is confirmed based on submitted documents and any necessary assessments. A place is offered at MIS once placement is determined. Where necessary, placement tests in Math, English and/or French may be requested to determine the best course of study. The outcome ensures registration aligns with the PYP, MYP or DP track. STEP 4: Fill out the enrolment forms on our Admissions Portal and upload the proof of payment. The enrollment forms complete the formal enrollment, and payment confirms the registration. Parents may receive confirmation that the enrollment is submitted and moving to final steps. STEP 5: Student is enrolled. Our team will be in touch to schedule a placement test (if applicable) and confirm the first day of school. You will be contacted with next steps, including start date and any onboarding information.
Admissions
1. Submit the ISB admissions application with the required application fee. The application form must be accompanied by the application fee, and applications will not be processed until the full application fee is paid. If the application is withdrawn, 50% of the fee is refunded; if a Financial Aid application is denied or the family does not accept the offer and withdraws, 75% is refunded; if a completed application is placed in a waiting pool for 60 days and the family cancels, a full refund is available. 2. After the completed application is received, an admission decision is typically issued within 7 to 10 working days. A decision may be delayed if additional information is needed or during school-holiday periods. 3. Students can join ISB at any point during the school year, typically before 1 May. A suitable start date is determined in collaboration with the family and approved by the Head of School. IB Diploma students cannot begin after the beginning of October if their courses are not transferable to ISB. 4. Grade-level placement is based on the prior educational experience and the student's age. In some cases, a placement test may be given to accurately place a student. 5. The ISB Bus Service is the most popular transport for commuting to and from school. Some students may use public transportation, ride a bike, or be dropped off and picked up by their parents. 6. ISB runs waiting lists when necessary. When classes are full, a waiting pool for the affected class is opened, and the Admissions Team explains how waiting pools are managed. 7. ISB offers a limited number of financial aid opportunities each year based on eligibility criteria. ISB also provides an English Language Development Programme at all levels to support non-English-speaking students. 8. ISB has an Inclusion and Challenge Programme to meet learning needs and ensure appropriate placement. 9.
