School year covered
School Year 2025–2026.
Application / registration and enrolment charges
- Registration fee (application / at registration): EUR 300 — one-time, non‑refundable per child. - Enrollment deposit (at registration): EUR 450 — invoiced at enrolment; refundable after definitive leaving of the school provided all outstanding invoices are settled and on parents' request. - Prepaid tuition required at first registration: EUR 2,000 for the first child (EUR 1,800 for the second child). For the American High School option (Grades 11–12 AIS) a higher prepaid amount applies (EUR 7,500). The prepaid tuition is not refundable.
- A discount is applied for additional enrolled children: the second child receives a discount (typically 10% reduction compared with the first child); discounts increase for the third and subsequent children (discount levels vary by year group, up to 15–20% in higher year groups). Specific discounted tuition levels are set by year group.
Per-term / invoicing schedule and payment terms
- At enrolment: registration fee, deposit and the required prepaid tuition are invoiced and must be paid within the invoice payment term. - Standard tuition billing schedule (annual tuition split across three subsequent instalments after the prepayment): the school issues instalments with due dates typically in mid‑October, mid‑January and mid‑May. Exact instalment amounts and invoice due dates are set on the school invoice. Example instalment dates used in recent billing calendars: before 15 October, before 15 January, before 15 May. - Monthly payment: at parents' request and at the school's discretion a monthly payment plan may be granted provided a standing order is set up for the 1st day of each month; the monthly plan will be stopped if funds are not received at the first due date.
Example per-instalment breakdown format (application to the 2025/26 annual tuition figures)
- Preschool (annual EUR 11,980) — typical split used in recent billing calendars: - Prepaid at enrolment: approx. EUR 2,050. - Payment before mid‑October: approx. EUR 2,209. - Payment before mid‑January: approx. EUR 3,860. - Payment before mid‑May: approx. EUR 3,861. - Total = EUR 11,980. (These instalment amounts follow the school's multi‑instalment billing pattern used in prior published calendars and are presented here as the per‑term values corresponding to the 2025/26 annual fee levels.)

EUR 5,365. - Payment before mid‑May: approx. EUR 5,365. - Total = EUR 16,090. (For the AIS option in Grades 11–12, the prepaid amount and instalment profile differ; AIS prepaid has been published at higher levels in prior schedules.)
Other fees and charges
- Uniforms: school uniforms are required but uniform costs are not included in tuition. (Uniform details are administered to parents; uniform purchases are separate.) - Examinations / optional certification fees: where applicable exam fees are billed separately — for example, a MYP exam fee (Grade 10) has been published previously at EUR 500 when a student opts to sit the MYP certificate. Additional external examination fees (IB exam charges, Cambridge/other exam entries) are charged separately as required. - After‑school activities / daycare / clubs: these are billed separately on a termly or annual basis for participants; fees vary by activity. Daycare and club charges apply only to enrolled pupils who use those services. - Building Fund / Stability Fund: for 2025/26 a Stability Fund amount of EUR 500 is shown and Building Fund EUR 0; the Stability Fund provides the school with a financial reserve and may be required at the beginning of the school year.
Refunds and refundable items
- Registration fee: non‑refundable (EUR 300). - Deposit: refundable after definitive leaving of the school, subject to settlement of all outstanding invoices and upon parents' request (EUR 450). - Prepaid tuition: prepaid tuition amounts invoiced at first registration are stated as not refundable. Separate specific refund circumstances (for example, definitive leaving, outstanding invoices) are handled per the school's enrolment and contract terms.
Boarding / day status
- The school operates as a day school (no boarding provision). There are no boarding fees.
Fee payment options and bank details
- Primary payment method: bank transfer to the school's account; invoices include payment terms and instructions. A monthly payment plan can be arranged by standing order. When invoices are issued to an employer/company a single invoice may be issued at the start of the school year. - Bank instructions (as published in the school's fee documents): - Bank: Banque et Caisse d'Epargne de l'Etat - BIC: BCEE LU LL - IBAN: LU33 0019 3555 8213 6000 - Beneficiary: Over The Rainbow A.s.b.l. International School.
Notes regarding billing practice
- Tuition normally covers tuition, textbooks and essential stationery materials but does not include school uniforms, optional clubs/daycare, external exam charges or other ancillary services which are billed separately. Instalment dates and amounts are shown on the school invoice; payment must be made within the invoice payment term. Monthly payment by standing order is available at the school's discretion and may be stopped if payments are not received.
Fee details

Billing schedule and payment terms
- Standard billing structure: parents receive four invoices that together cover the yearly school fees. For the 2025/2026 schedule the four due dates were: Bill 1 — 31 May 2025; Bill 2 — 30 September 2025; Bill 3 — 31 January 2026; Bill 4 — 30 April 2026. The same four-bill structure (with those due-date positions in the school year) is used for the fees shown above. - Bill 2 includes the Building and Stability funds; companies paying fees can be invoiced annually. Parents who wish to receive one annual bill or to arrange monthly instalments are asked to contact the Billing Officer. - If students join or leave during the school year, fees are prorated according to the month of joining/leaving; detailed prorated amounts and the related notice deadlines for each month are set out in the school's fee schedule. - Overdue bills: the school reserves the right to charge interest on overdue amounts and applies a €40 administrative fee for overdue bills; school reports may be retained until all outstanding invoices are paid. - Note relating to 2026/27 billing timing: from the 2026/2027 school year the first bill (Bill 1) will increase to €3,000 and the amounts for Bills 2–4 will be adjusted accordingly.
Extras, other charges and typical additional costs
- Extras (items such as canteen, after-school activities, individual music lessons and other incidental charges) are billed separately in November, March, May and July and are payable within 30 days of those invoices. Any additional learning support provided to a student may incur separate additional charges discussed with parents. - School online shop items (examples and typical prices): umbrella €20; folio €8; travel mug €7; scarf €10; water bottle €7.50; apron €17. These items and other branded small items are available from the school's online shop. (Uniform clothing items are not listed as fixed-price items in the fee schedule; branded accessories and small items are shown in the shop.)
Boarding
- Boarding is not listed in the school fee schedule; no boarding fees are included in the published school-fee schedule for the school year shown.
Refund and withdrawal terms
- Deposit refund: the €1,000 deposit is refunded as a deduction on the final Extras bill when the pupil leaves, provided all other fees and charges have been paid and correct written notice of withdrawal has been received by the Head of Finance and Administration. - Required notice and penalty: written notice of withdrawal must be given in accordance with the contract; in default of correct notice the family accepts liability to pay one third of the applicable annual tuition fees in lieu of notice. The standard notice deadlines for leaving at the end of each term are: 30 September for leaving at the end of the Autumn term; 30 January for leaving at the end of the Spring term; 30 April for leaving at the end of the Summer term. If a pupil leaves mid-term, a full three months' notice is required and billing dates may be amended.
Payment methods and options
- Invoices include the school's bank details and bank transfer is the standard payment mechanism; the school's documents note that bank details are not planned to change. Companies can be invoiced annually; parents may request one annual invoice or discuss monthly instalments with the Billing Officer. The Billing Officer and the Head of Finance and Administration handle billing enquiries and account arrangements.
