Riviera High School is a modern mixed boarding school in Kabuga, Rusororo District. It offers Cambridge International programs alongside REB and BTEC qualifications, with a September–June term. Cambridge runs from Lower Secondary (Year 8–9) to Upper Secondary (Year 10–11, IGCSE) and Advanced Level (Year 12–13), covering English, German, French, Mathematics, Sciences and Humanities; Cambridge examinations earn Cambridge International certificates. The BTEC pathway emphasizes skills-based learning, offering Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business and Level 2 Diploma in Business, described as equivalent to three A‑Levels. The REB curriculum provides O‑Level and A‑Level routes (Senior 1–3, Senior 4–6) with languages including German and French, and Science (PCM/PCB) and Arts (HLP/HGL). The school promotes a learner-centered approach with counselling and core values of Honor, Integrity, Loyalty and Respect under Principal Muthee Daniel M. Facilities include science labs, two ICT labs with over 100 computers, a stocked library, and sports facilities from football to swimming. Green Hills Academy offers an international and locally grounded education with clear routes to Cambridge IGCSE, IB Diploma and national programmes. It has been a Cambridge International Centre since 2002 and an IB World School since 2005, delivering qualification pathways alongside Rwanda's standards. From Nursery to Grade 8, Singapore Math develops mathematical thinking, with remedial support available as needed. The campus features science laboratories, a library, and rooms for computer science, art, and physical education to support learning. English is the language of instruction from Tiny Tots through Grade 12, with English and French taught in the early years and Kinyarwanda and German offered as subjects; from Grade 9 all students study in English to align with Cambridge IGCSE, IB and national programmes. Co-curricular life includes choir, Rwandan traditional dance and drumming, debate, drama, art, and computers and multimedia, with G5–G8 options and a physical education program, plus after-school activities.
International School of Kigali (ISK) is an independent international school serving students aged 4 to 18. It offers an American curriculum with Advanced Placement coursework, including the AP Capstone Diploma, and a Western-style program that emphasizes diversity, inclusion, critical thinking, creativity, and global citizenship. The Kibagabaga campus, opened in 2021, provides dedicated buildings for Elementary, Middle, and High School, plus two swimming pools, a tennis court, large sports fields, a full-size basketball court, and sizeable outdoor play spaces. Inside, a well-resourced library supports reading and independent research, while spacious art classrooms foster visual and performing arts. High school students can take AP courses and electives such as art, music, drama, and Rwandan studies. Language offerings include French, Spanish, and Kinyarwanda. Service-learning is embedded across the curriculum, with partnerships with local organizations and events like an Annual Climate Action Summit, enriching academic work with real-world impact. ISK emphasizes holistic development and community engagement.
Ntare Louisenlund School is Rwanda's boarding school offering an IB curriculum with a STEM focus. Rooted in Kurt Hahn and Maria Montessori traditions and updated by contemporary science, learning is personalised in groups of about 20, supported by house systems. An e-portfolio documents progress for learning and university applications. The school is an IB World School, a Round Square member, and a member of NEASC CIE and GEBG; instruction is in English and German, with German study toward at least B1. It maintains a partnership with the Rwanda Ministry of Education and pursues IB authorization with MYP candidacy. The campus hosts five laboratories, learning studios, and seminar rooms, plus sports facilities, and uses ManageBac for digital resources. Global Education includes Model United Nations and Round Square IDEALS of Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership, and Service. Bright Angels International School (BAIS) is a bilingual English and French international school in the Nyarutarama neighbourhood of Kigali, Rwanda. Founded in 2013 by Mrs. Francine N., the school serves over 700 students of 18+ nationalities from daycare through lower secondary. BAIS follows the Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary curriculum alongside the French learning curriculum, and prepares students for Cambridge and DELF examinations. The school emphasises inclusive, holistic education underpinned by Christian values.
