International School of Kigali (ISK) is an independent international school serving students aged 4 to 18. It offers an American curriculum with Advanced Placement coursework, including the AP Capstone Diploma, and a Western-style program that emphasizes diversity, inclusion, critical thinking, creativity, and global citizenship. Bright Angels International School (BAIS) is a bilingual English and French international school in the Nyarutarama neighbourhood of Kigali, Rwanda. Founded in 2013 by Mrs. Francine N., the school serves over 700 students of 18+ nationalities from daycare through lower secondary. BAIS follows the Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary curriculum alongside the French learning curriculum, and prepares students for Cambridge and DELF examinations. The school emphasises inclusive, holistic education underpinned by Christian values.
Kigali International Community School (KICS) is a nonprofit, Christ-centered international school in Kigali, Rwanda, serving PreK–12. It provides a US-based curriculum taught in English and offers Advanced Placement (AP) classes in high school. KICS is the first US-accredited school in Rwanda and holds accreditation from the Middle States Association (MSA) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The school serves students from 27 nationalities and partners with families and Rwanda's education sector to prepare graduates for university study. A planned 8.8-hectare campus will host centers of excellence in Learning Support, ICT, Science, Performing Arts, and Global Leadership, funded through donor contributions. Beyond academics, KICS offers Fine Arts and Athletics, student leadership, and service opportunities, including mission groups and community projects. The language of instruction is English; Kinyarwanda and French are taught, with Spanish or Mandarin available online in higher grades. The school administers ACT, SAT, PSAT, and AP exams.
