International Campus Vienna offers a continuous education path from kindergarten to lower secondary with bilingual teachers guiding students throughout their schooling. The focus includes Christian values, a balanced educational partnership, healthy nutrition and sufficient exercise. The teaching goals aim for students to recognize God's work in history and in their lives, to discover and develop their talents, and to learn how to learn. The school emphasizes community and an appreciation for cultural diversity as part of everyday learning.
Art, design, creativity, drama, dance and music are cultivated as expressive practices and forms of worship. Art is treated as personal expression and a pathway to artistic freedom, with a framework that values gratitude for the gift of creativity. In class, pupils work with painting, drawing, design and construction to build a repertoire of expressive possibilities. Musicals are part of MCA, providing opportunities for performance and showcasing student talents.
German is the language of instruction and English is used intensively as a second language. Language-sensitive teaching serves a multilingual student body, supported by DaZ/DaF specialists to help pupils overcome linguistic hurdles. English is integrated across many subjects to build language competence quickly. From the 5th school level, French is introduced as a second foreign language, and from the 7th grade French becomes a main subject.
Service-learning is an innovative approach that combines learning with community engagement and is increasingly integrated into lessons at MCA. This form of learning couples social engagement with subject learning and can involve projects with local partners, such as senior citizens' residences adjacent to the campus. Projects may include visiting residents, researching social work fields, and developing engagement initiatives (e.g., courses for seniors). The school builds on methodological competence to implement service-learning and to promote students' motivation and growth through constructive community involvement.
MCA provides a mentoring programme offering weekly or fortnightly time for conversations with a mentor to support each student's development. The goals include affirming that students are valued, helping them identify their strengths and talents, and guiding them toward future studies and careers that align with their gifts. Vocational orientation invites speakers from various professions, visits workplaces, exposure to multiple occupational fields, involvement of talent scouts, and counseling with secondary schools to help students plan their paths.
Life on campus is guided by Christian values, a balanced educational partnership, healthy nutrition and sufficient exercise. The emphasis is on the joy of learning as a motivational force and on creating a creative, inspiring environment where learning is enjoyable. The educational approach promotes a sense of community and responsibility, contributing to students' physical and mental well-being.
