Language-sensitive teaching is central at MCA. English language competence is built up intensively and rapidly through English lessons and the inclusion of English in many subjects. Pupils with insufficient German language skills start the school year as exceptional pupils and receive intensive German support, with the MIKA-D test used to monitor progress until they meet regular-pupil requirements. From the 5th school level, French is introduced as a second foreign language, and from the 7th grade it becomes a main subject with written work.
German is used as the first language of instruction. English is used intensively as a second language. DaZ/DaF (German as a Second and Foreign Language) specialists support pupils to overcome linguistic hurdles.
Mayflower Christian Academy is a non-profit association offering a Christian education with public status recognized by the Austrian government. Located on the International Campus Vienna in Oberlaa, the school shares facilities with Arche Noah kindergarten, enabling collaboration in a community rooted in shared values. The curriculum combines the Austrian primary (grades 0–4) and lower secondary (grades 5–8) with plans to expand toward a Matura, using German as the language of instruction and intensive English supported by DaZ/DaF specialists. From grade seven, French becomes a main subject, and the school also offers Advanced Placement (AP) alongside the Austrian curriculum. A Digital Media Concept underpins learning with tablets and interactive boards. ErasmusPlus projects foster international mobility, while service-learning, arts, and mentoring programs strengthen academics, character, and leadership. The school belongs to International Campus Vienna and emphasizes Christian values, bilingual education, and preparation for study in Austria and beyond, and future study abroad.
