Mayflower Christian Academy is a non-profit private association. It grew out of the Arche Noah kindergarten (founded in 1996) and a parent-led initiative that led to MCA's establishment as a private international Christian school. The MCA was founded in 2007 and has been run as a denominational school of the Free Churches in Austria since February 2014. It currently covers the primary level (grades 1–4) and lower secondary level (grades 5–8) on the Austrian AHS curriculum and is located in the south of Vienna. The school is a member of International Campus Vienna.
The school community includes a Parents' Council, Prayer & Parents' Café, and a Council of Experts. A School Physician provides health services on campus, and there are House Rules and a School Board of the Free Churches in Austria. Sponsors & Donors support school activities, and the school engages in ERASMUS projects. Mayflower is a member of International Campus Vienna.
The school has a Parents' Council as its parent-teacher association. The Parents' Council provides a forum for parent involvement in school life. Prayer & Parents' Café is a regular activity organized for parents. There is a Council of Experts that provides advisory input to school governance. A School Physician supports student health and safety. The School Board of the Free Churches in Austria governs MCA, with governance supported by Sponsors & Donors and ERASMUS Projects.
Mayflower Christian Academy is a non-profit association offering a Christian education with public status recognized by the Austrian government. Located on the International Campus Vienna in Oberlaa, the school shares facilities with Arche Noah kindergarten, enabling collaboration in a community rooted in shared values. The curriculum combines the Austrian primary (grades 0–4) and lower secondary (grades 5–8) with plans to expand toward a Matura, using German as the language of instruction and intensive English supported by DaZ/DaF specialists. From grade seven, French becomes a main subject, and the school also offers Advanced Placement (AP) alongside the Austrian curriculum. A Digital Media Concept underpins learning with tablets and interactive boards. ErasmusPlus projects foster international mobility, while service-learning, arts, and mentoring programs strengthen academics, character, and leadership. The school belongs to International Campus Vienna and emphasizes Christian values, bilingual education, and preparation for study in Austria and beyond, and future study abroad.
