In Kindergarten, Swedish and German are spoken equally. In Primary Education (grades 1–6), language learning includes two German lessons weekly for grade 1 and four German lessons weekly for grades 2–6; all language lessons are taught by native-speaking teachers in Swedish, German, and English. The school collaborates with an Austrian partner school and integrates cultural activities to support language development and social integration. Supplementary Swedish Education provides Swedish language instruction for children aged 6–16, one afternoon per week; from grade 6 onward, Swedish studies continue via Sofia Distans with biweekly staff supervision, following the Swedish curriculum Lgr 22. Since 2012, the school holds Öffentlichkeitsrecht from the Austrian School Board for grades 1–6, enabling legally recognized Schulzeugnisse.

Founded in 1986, Svenska Skolan i Wien is a private Swedish international school in Grinzing, Vienna, offering a Kindergarten, Preschool Class, and Elementary School for children aged 2 to 16.
