Theresianum is a Vienna-based school campus serving children from nursery to gymnasium with a boarding house and integrated day care. The school offers a bespoke curriculum for ages 1 to 18, organized around two main tracks in the gymnasium: Sprachenschwerpunkt (language focus) and Naturwissenschaftlicher Schwerpunkt (science focus). In the language track, English or French begins in early years, Latin starts in grade four, and Russian becomes available from grade six, with Wahlpflichtfächer such as Italian or Spanish. The Europaklasse provides intensified French instruction and certificates (Cambridge or DELF) alongside language exchanges and trips. The science track includes mandatory biology, chemistry and physics, computer science, and a physics/geometrical component, with options for European studies and additional languages. The school maintains extensive sport and arts facilities, a central library, and enrichment programs, Erasmus+ exchanges, and the international Theresianum ISP, all contributing to a long-standing tradition of academic and cultural achievement in Austria.
Theresianum has 1,130 pupils, typical class sizes of 24, instruction in German, English, French.
