Application Procedure: The school welcomes applications from all students regardless of race, religion, language background or country of origin. A command of English is not a pre-condition for application. An application is usually preceded by a visit to the school and a meeting with the director. We will carry out a simple entrance placement test for all applicants. Please download and print the necessary forms for completion (This is a PDF file - you will need Adobe Reader to open it). Vienna Elementary School is a bilingual international school in Austria offering English and German alongside a tailored curriculum for ages 2 to 18. The program combines English-language arts with Deutsch language study in a thematic framework, linking subjects to real-life contexts. Core subjects include Social Skills, Science, Language, Deutsch literacy, Mathematics, Social Studies, Physical Education, Art, and Music, with enrichment for faster learners and targeted support as needed. The program emphasizes critical thinking and cooperative learning. Founded in 2001 by Dr. Sigrid Schauberger, the school aims to awaken curiosity while building self-reliance and self-confidence, with an interdisciplinary approach that includes drama, music, language, visual arts, media education, rhythm, and dance. Facilities include two gym halls with a climbing wall, a large garden and playground, a library, a music room, an art and craft room, a theatre, and a roof terrace. After-school activities include Homework Club, Football, and Choir, among others.
