The VES Lunch Program provides healthy warm meals supervised by the VES team, working with BIO MENÜ; 99% of the meals use ingredients from local Austrian farmers. Students have a choice of regular menus, vegetarian, no pork, gluten-free or lactose-free options. Lunch time is 13:00-14:00.
VES is privately founded and established under Austrian law and registered with the Ministry of Education and the Viennese Public School Office for Education.
Vienna Elementary School is a bilingual international school in Austria offering English and German alongside a tailored curriculum for ages 2 to 18. The program combines English-language arts with Deutsch language study in a thematic framework, linking subjects to real-life contexts. Core subjects include Social Skills, Science, Language, Deutsch literacy, Mathematics, Social Studies, Physical Education, Art, and Music, with enrichment for faster learners and targeted support as needed. The program emphasizes critical thinking and cooperative learning. Founded in 2001 by Dr. Sigrid Schauberger, the school aims to awaken curiosity while building self-reliance and self-confidence, with an interdisciplinary approach that includes drama, music, language, visual arts, media education, rhythm, and dance. Facilities include two gym halls with a climbing wall, a large garden and playground, a library, a music room, an art and craft room, a theatre, and a roof terrace. After-school activities include Homework Club, Football, and Choir, among others.
