Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Vienna Elementary Preschool uses an ESL submersion program to develop listening and speaking skills in English. The Elementary curriculum uses English as the language of instruction in most subjects, with German and Mathematics taught in German, and 1st Grade features an integrated language arts approach with English content alongside German language study. In practice, the 1st Grade curriculum includes a Deutsch (German) language component and English language arts, reflecting bilingual instruction. Overall, English-language instruction is primary, with German included as a core part of the program.
