ABC operates across early years Preschool, Primary and Secondary in Baku, Azerbaijan. The campus features two on-site swimming pools used for weekly lessons for Reception and above, with the pools described as featuring the latest technology. On-site catering provides healthy meals and snacks for students and staff; more than 1,000,000 meals are prepared each year and menus and allergen information are available. Transport for students uses the newest and most modern vehicles to ensure safety. The school supports a library and a broad extra-curricular program including clubs and enrichment activities.
Sport is a core part of student development at ABC. The sport program uses a range of curricular activities including games, dance, gymnastics, swimming, fitness and athletics to build skills and well-being. An extra-curricular sport program offers activities beyond lessons. Football, basketball and swimming are the main sports in competitive programs. All Reception and above participate in weekly on-site swimming lessons with a qualified coach in the two on-site pools.
ABC teaches the Cambridge Core Curriculum as the core for Key Stage 3. The Foundation Curriculum covers the arts, physical exercise and the humanities, while the Global Student Development strand develops the whole child. In Primary the curriculum combines Cambridge Core content with the ABC Foundation Programme and Global Student Development, with subjects including English, Mathematics, Sciences, ICT, Azerbaijani Language & Humanities, Geography, History, Visual Arts, Performing Arts and Sport/Swimming. In Secondary the school delivers Cambridge IGCSE Programme for Years 10 and 11 and Cambridge A-Level Programme for Years 12 and 13 with a range of option blocks. The school runs 40 academic periods per week. ABC centers Teaching and Leadership activities through the Centre for Teaching & Leadership, with licences to Tes-Educare and National College and partnerships with COBIS, the British Council, UNESCO and other organizations.
