BSB is an English Medium School. Primary students follow a combination of the Cambridge Primary Curriculum and the National Curriculum of England and Wales, with Azeri studies mandatory for Azeri Nationals and additional Literacy support for Non-Azeri pupils. Early Years follow the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). For children whose home language is not English, the school provides language support to help reach a good standard of English by Year 1. Besides English, languages offered include German, French, Russian, Azerbaijani, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.
British School in Baku (BSB) offers a Cambridge-based education aligned with the Azerbaijani national plan for learners aged 1 to 18. The curriculum includes EYFS, Cambridge Primary, Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge International AS Levels, and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE. The Primary School serves ages 4 to 11 and Secondary 11 to 18, with Foundation Stage, Cambridge Checkpoint testing, and IGCSE/AS/A‑Levels pathways. BSB is the first accredited school in Azerbaijan by COBIS and CIS. It is accredited by Cambridge and Edexcel to deliver programs from Primary through IGCSE, AS and A‑Levels. Students graduate with British diplomas and Azerbaijani certificates and gain access to universities worldwide. The campus includes redesigned classrooms, art rooms, science labs, computer labs, a library, an indoor sports hall, and a large outdoor field.
