Uniforms are mandatory for regular days and school events and must be purchased from designated suppliers; the sports uniform is provided by the school and paid for at the office. Girls wear Summer: KG to Grade 6 grey pinafore with a light blue shirt; Grade 7 to 11 grey skirt with a light blue shirt; Winter adds a navy cardigan or blazer with the school logo. Boys wear Summer: KG to Grade 4 grey shorts with a light blue shirt; Grade 5 onward grey trousers with a light blue shirt; Winter adds a navy cardigan or blazer; plain black leather shoes are required.
The canteen operates during school hours and junk food is strictly prohibited. Parents may send light refreshments with their child, or students may purchase items from the school canteen.
The school uses a four-house system: Aradous, Awal, Dilmun, and Tylos. Each pupil is assigned to a House at admission, and a Champion House Trophy is awarded for inter-house competitions, academics and discipline.
The school is privately owned. The Founder Chairman is H.E. Habib Ahmed Kassim, who chairs Al Mahd School and Al Mahd Investment Company; the leadership team includes a General Manager and a Principal. The school operates across three campuses in Saar, Samaheej and East Riffa.
