Al Mahd School follows an international Cambridge-based curriculum across its divisions. Kindergarten uses a development-oriented international curriculum and prepares children to progress to the British curriculum at age five, with English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies and Arabic as core subjects. The Junior School (Grade 1–6) follows the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP), with a structured program that supports progression to Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE. The Middle School (Grade 7–8) follows the Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme, and the Senior School (Grade 9–10) prepares students for IGCSE with Core and Extended options and the International Certificate of Education (ICE), laying groundwork for higher-level programmes such as AP, IB or A‑levels. The school began in 1997 and now operates on three campuses, with Cambridge International Examinations awarding International Center Status in 2004.
