Al Mahd School operates three campuses in Saar, Samaheej, and East Riffa in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It began in October 1997 with 40 students and now serves over 2800 students. Cambridge International Examinations International Center Status was awarded in 2004. The school has modern facilities including science laboratories and audio-visual rooms to support its learning programs. It follows an international Cambridge based curriculum across all key stages.

The school follows an international Cambridge based curriculum across all levels. Kindergarten uses a development oriented international program with English, Mathematics, Arabic, Environmental Studies and other activities and prepares children to progress to the British curriculum by age five. The Junior School (Grade 1 6) follows the Cambridge International Primary Programme, with progression to Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE and structured reporting. The Middle School (Grade 7 8) follows the Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme, linking to the Primary Programme and preparing for IGCSE with Cambridge Checkpoint assessments. The Senior School (Grade 9 10) prepares students for IGCSE and ICE, offering Core and Extended options and non exam courses in Physical Education, Religious Education and Citizenship; entry to IGCSE is by subject, with the ICE diploma awarded for seven subjects.
