Admissions

1. Eligibility and authorization. AlSharqyia School accepts eligible students from KG1 to Grade 11, aged 4 to 18 years. The school is authorized by Cambridge School Certificate and by the Bahrain Ministry of Education. Enrolling a child implies acceptance of the school's Vision, Mission, rules and regulations. The school does not accommodate children with special needs due to lack of facilities and staff for such children.

2. Application window and initial steps. Applications are accepted in January each year and operate from KG1 to Grade 11 subject to seat availability. The Admission Department informs applicants of the entrance test date. An Application Processing Fee is charged and is non-refundable.

3. Entrance examinations and interviews. Applicants sit for entrance examinations followed by interviews. The length of each examination by grade is: KG1 and KG2 – 1 hour (English and Mathematics); Grades 1–7 – 2 hours (Arabic, English, Mathematics); Grade 8 – 2 hours (Arabic, English, Mathematics, Science); Grades 9–11 – 3 hours (Arabic, English, Mathematics, Science). After the examination/interviews, the Admission Office notifies whether a seat is offered. KG admission follows the interview on the same day as the exam.

4. Offers, next steps, and late registration. Students offered seats proceed to the next step as directed by the Admission Office. Late registration is possible depending on seat availability and remains open through early September.

5. Fees and withdrawal policy. The Application Processing Fee is non-refundable. First installment and textbooks are non-refundable. To withdraw, parents must complete a Student Withdrawal Form within the specified timeframe; a Financial Release Certificate is issued, which is separate from the transcript. 6. Inside Bahrain required documents. For applications from inside Bahrain, the required documents include two color passport-sized photos; copies of the student's passport and valid visa (if non Bahraini); birth certificate; CPR copies (father and mother); vaccination book (all pages); last year's grade report and current progress report; and the Transfer Certificate.

7. Outside Bahrain required documents. For applications from outside Bahrain (Grades 2–11), the required documents include a copy of the student's passport, birth certificate, CPR (father and mother), visa (Non Bahraini), vaccination book, last year's Grade Report and this year's latest Progress/Grade report (original copy); a translated copy of foreign certificates into English or Arabic by a certified translator; and the Transfer Certificate. A stamped and signed certificate of scholarship from the country of origin may be required, and apostille may substitute in some cases.
