The British Columbia Canada curriculum (BC Curriculum) is taught in English and includes Arabic Language, Citizenship and Islamic Studies. The program uses a balanced, concept- and inquiry-based approach with core BC competencies integrated into learning. CSB serves Nursery through Grade 12, and graduates receive the BC Dogwood Diploma. A one-to-one iPad program begins in Grade 4.
Creativity and arts are integrated into the curriculum, with elementary programs highlighting a range of arts and culinary activities. Student life supports creative pursuits through clubs and activities such as The Orca Club, robotics, and other hands-on projects. The program emphasizes creative expression through arts alongside academic study.
Arabic language and local citizenship are required for all students, and Islamic Studies are integrated into the program (optional for non-Bahraini students). The Arabic program follows the Bahrain Ministry of Education curriculum while incorporating BC competency-based learning and service opportunities; Arabic teachers collaborate with BC teachers to integrate the two programs. The Pre-School program is bilingual, alternating English and Arabic.
Student Life includes activities such as the Student Council, Community Service, The Orca Club and other after‑school groups. The school hosts events and competitions in areas such as robotics and knowledge challenges, and runs sports events like Sports Day. There are opportunities to participate in teams and clubs that foster teamwork and personal interests.
Community service programs and volunteering are part of CSB's student life, with service opportunities integrated into the Arabic program. Students participate in local language and Quran competitions and other service-oriented activities as part of their BC curriculum.
Core Competencies (Communication, Collaboration, Critical and Creative Thinking, Personal and Social Responsibility) are embedded in the BC Curriculum. The BC program includes a Career Education / Career Life program, and high school students begin the BC Graduation Program (Grades 10–12) with opportunities to take Advanced Placement courses in the future. English-language instruction and Arabic language integration support leadership and professional development through public speaking, technology use and leadership experiences.
The program includes English–Arabic bilingual learning from early years, with a strong focus on health and nutrition. The Elementary program emphasizes healthy living and Physical Education, and Middle School offers gender-segregated classes for Grades 5–8. The curriculum incorporates values such as Respect, Responsibility, Personal Integrity and Courage to foster well-being and character.
