Pakistan School Bahrain was founded in July 1968 by a group of Pakistani nationals who wanted a dedicated school for their children. It began in a rented building in Manama with about 100 students and a small teaching staff. To accommodate growth, the Government of Bahrain leased land in Isa Town for a purpose-built campus. The foundation stone was laid by H.E. Dr. Ali M. Fakhro on January 10, 1983, and the building was inaugurated by H.E. Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa on March 23, 1985. The Isa Town campus expanded with the Jinnah Block (inaugurated on September 25, 1993) and a Sir Syed Block followed in the mid-1990s, with Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan inaugurating the latter to meet growing needs.
Pakistan School Bahrain operates from two wings: the Manama Primary campus and the Isa Town main campus. It serves more than 2,000 students from around 20 nationalities. The school participates in Bahrain's national celebrations, including National Day and Independence Day, reflecting strong ties to the wider community. Graduation ceremonies recognize graduates and notable achievements, including World Scholar's Cup performances.
Pakistan School Bahrain has a Parents Council, functioning as the PTA-like body formed under the Ministry of Education's guidance. The council comprises parents and faculty, with the Principal serving as chair. A representative from the Ministry of Education attends the council's meetings. Its objective is to create a healthy, comfortable learning environment and to strengthen the relationship among parents, teachers and students. The council coordinates with school leadership to support parental involvement and school initiatives, within a governance framework that also includes an elected Board of Management with advisory and policy-making authority.
