ISC-Manama opened in 2006 to students from Kindergarten through Grade 8 and today serves KG1 to Grade 12 with an enrollment of approximately 1,600 students. The school operates as part of the SABIS global education network, which traces its history to 1886 and encompasses a wide international presence. ISC-Manama is an English-medium, non-selective day school offering a tri-lingual program in English, Arabic, and French. The campus is located on Amwaj Islands in Bahrain, reflecting its integration into SABIS' regional expansion. The SABIS network has grown to multiple countries and continues to provide coordinated educational standards across its member schools.
ISC-Manama promotes a diverse and inclusive school community. The SABIS Student Life Organization (SLO) coordinates a broad range of clubs and activities, including arts and crafts, dance, ballet, chess, choir, drama, film, IT, and science, with sports such as badminton, basketball, tennis, and track. The campus features a school theatre for regular drama and music productions and dedicated facilities for early years, including an indoor heated pool, a large playground, and a child-friendly car track. Students come from many nationalities and are integrated into classes with an emphasis on belonging and respectful participation in school life.
