Introduction

Scholastica School Mirpur Campus is an English-medium school in Dhaka serving ages 2 to 18. The campus offers a Bespoke Curriculum alongside the British Curriculum, Cambridge Secondary, and Cambridge A Levels, with Cambridge examinations administered by the British Council in Dhaka for Classes IX to XII. English is the primary medium of instruction, with Bangla given equal emphasis to nurture identity. Founded in 1977 by Mrs. Yasmeen Murshed, Scholastica pioneered English-medium education in Bangladesh, introducing science labs for secondary students and campuses with auditoriums, a swimming pool and hard courts. The school connects internationally through sports, trips abroad, and expert input to curriculum and training, supported by technology-enabled data management. Learning emphasizes enquiry and independence from Nursery to Junior School, while maintaining Bangla proficiency from Nursery to Class X with a Bangla Literacy Lab. Extra-curriculars include arts, music, drama, and media studies, fostering creativity and leadership across cultures and learning.

Fees
Application / Admission fees

- Scholastica charges an Admission Fee at the time of enrolment. The Admission Fee is divided into two parts: the actual Admission Fee and a Security Deposit. The Admission Fee (the processing/administration portion) is non‑refundable; the Security Deposit is refundable after a student leaves the school if the conditions for refund are met.

Tuition fees (by year group / per term)

- Scholastica operates on a single annual tuition fee model: a single annual tuition charge applies rather than multiple distinct yearly “development” charges. The school offers flexible payment structures for that annual tuition (see Billing schedule and Payment terms below). Specific numeric tuition amounts by year group and per term are not published as a public, itemised fee table on the school's public admissions material.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- The standard fee structure is a single annual tuition fee with flexibility in how that annual fee may be paid. Payment may be organised in different schedules according to the school's available payment structures.
- Tuition and other payable charges can be settled in person in the campus accounts offices. Provisions exist for payment by cash or by credit card at the Dhanmondi, Gulshan, Uttara and Mirpur campuses, and there are provisions for automatic bill payment through bank accounts or credit cards for recurring payments. Parents should follow the school's published billing instructions and payment deadlines when completing enrolment or re‑enrolment.

Boarding / hostel fees (if applicable)

- Scholastica does not publish any boarding or hostel charges for its Mirpur campus; the school's publicly described services emphasise day‑school facilities (campus facilities, transport and canteen services) rather than residential provision. No boarding or hostel fee schedule is listed for the Mirpur campus. Transport services are offered for students from Class I onwards.

Other costs and incidental fees

- Stationery and textbooks: Textbooks and stationery may be purchased through the school for an additional fee; this is an optional convenience and the additional cost varies by class. Exercise books and papers, Student ID Card and Security Card are provided by the school as part of routine services.
- Field trips: Routine on‑campus extra‑curricular activities, sports, swimming and standard school clubs are not charged separately; only voluntary out‑of‑town trips may incur additional charges. There are no separate yearly charges or development fees.
- Uniforms and optional extras: The school's public admissions information does not publish an itemised uniform price list; any costs for uniforms, optional extra programs, or optional services would be listed in the school's parent documentation or fee communications.

Refunds and security deposit policy

- Admission Fee (processing portion): non‑refundable.
- Security deposit: refundable after a student leaves the school if the refund conditions are met; if a student leaves without prior notice the school's policy may provide for forfeiture of the security deposit. Specific refund procedures and timing are set out in the school's Student–Parent Handbook.

Fee payment options

- Accepted payment modes include cash and credit card at the school campuses. The school also offers provisions for automatic bill payment through bank accounts or credit cards for recurring tuition payments. An online payment facility is referenced by the school for authorised payments. Parents are required to use the payment channels supplied by the school for fee remittance and to follow the school's billing deadlines and instructions.

Practical notes for database entry

- Structure to record in a database: (1) Admission Fee — split into non‑refundable Admission portion and refundable Security Deposit (refund conditions apply); (2) Annual tuition: single annual tuition fee (store as a single annual charge with fields to capture whether the family is paying in instalments and the chosen instalment schedule); (3) Optional additional charges — textbooks & stationery; (4) Transport (optional, for Class I onward); (5) Field trip / voluntary trip charges (ad hoc).
