Scholastica School Uttara Campus

Scholastica Uttara is part of Scholastica, established in 1977 by Yasmeen Murshed, and offers schooling from pre-school through A Levels. The school uses English as the main language of instruction while giving strong attention to Bangla. Its curriculum is developed in-house for the earlier years, combining national and British curriculum elements, and leads to Cambridge O Level and A Level examinations in high school. The Uttara provision includes Junior Campus Uttara in Sector 3 and Senior Campus Uttara in Sector 1, with the Senior Campus offering air-conditioned classrooms, science and computer labs, a library, cafeteria, bookshop, hard courts and an indoor multipurpose hall. A distinctive feature is that Scholastica provides British Council-administered O Level and A Level examinations on its own Senior Uttara and Mirpur campuses. Students can also join after-school activities, from KGII to Class XII where available, such as debate, Duke of Edinburgh, scouts, French, photography and sports.
