Uniform Requirements cover Summer, Winter, Formal and PE wear. Summer uses navy knee-length skirts/shorts/skorts or trousers with a white BHS polo, navy belts, navy knee socks, and dark brown or black leather shoes (max heel 1 inch). Winter adds a navy blazer and tie with a white shirt (Year 11 prefects may wear blue collared shirt) and a navy pullover; Formal occasions require a white shirt, tie and blazer; PE uses a crest shirt in House Colour with navy shorts. Hair must be natural in color; jewelry should be simple; no makeup; uniform items are available from Lands' End and the BHS PTA Store.
The After School Care program provides snack time and activities, operating from school dismissal until 5:30 pm on weekdays; holiday camps run during school breaks.
A House Colour is used for PE shirts, indicating a house-based system for some activities.
The Bermuda High School is governed by a Board of Trustees responsible for strategic planning and ensuring the School's Mission; the Board comprises nine active trustees and oversees committees including Advancement, Buildings and Grounds, Finance, Governance, and Strategy; Trustees are elected to the Board by the Members of the Bermuda High School Association at the Annual General Meeting.
Bermuda High School for Girls is the island's leading independent girls' school, founded in 1894 with over 130 years of history. The school is the only provider of A Levels in Bermuda and is a Round Square member — the only one in Bermuda. With 570 students, 75 teaching staff and families from over 35 countries, 100% of BHS graduates go on to tertiary education worldwide.
