Founded in 2009 when Red Brick and Augusto Laranja came together to found Aubrick. Since the beginning, the aim was to have a bilingual school from Nursery to Sixth Form Education students (equivalent to High School) with the objective of aligning academic excellence and humanistic education to the Portuguese and English languages. In 2013 it expanded to welcome younger children (1–3 years) and opened the Moema unit in 2014. In 2015 it began teaching Secondary Education and became a Cambridge International School, followed by the Jesuíno Maciel unit in 2016. The first group of Secondary graduates completed their studies in 2018, and Aubrick joined Round Square in 2019.
The school promotes a Culture of Peace, daily fostering tolerance, cooperation, and non-violence in a diverse and empathetic environment. Bilingual education at Aubrick goes beyond language, building open-mindedness toward other cultures and strengthening problem-solving and curiosity. Aubrick is a Cambridge International School and the only Brazilian member of Round Square, a global network emphasizing IDEALS: international understanding, democracy, environmental administration, adventure, leadership and service. The community also celebrates and engages in events such as Arraial Aubrick, a traditional festival that brings together families and supports community spirit.
