Abitur is offered as the final exam of the German education system. The school provides a two‑year Abitur preparation: the third year of high school in the International German curriculum and an additional year for qualification. Graduates are trilíngual (German, Portuguese, English) and are prepared for internationally recognized exams such as the German DSD and Abitur.
The school offers more than 60 extracurricular courses. The music program includes instruments and ensembles such as bass, drums, voice, clarinet, recorder, guitar, children's music, orchestra, percussion, piano/keyboard, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, viola, violin, cello, and acoustic guitar. Theatre Humboldt provides a bilingual arts space with projects, debates, lectures, and performances by the Orchestra and Theatre Group.
Intercâmbios offers international study experiences. For 8th grade, there is a study trip to Germany with a two‑week intensive German course and cultural activities. In high school, students may participate in two international experiences in alternating years: a Germany trip of about 20 days in April with university visits, lectures, workshops, and company internships; and a UK trip with a two‑week intensive English course and cultural sightseeing. The program emphasizes intercultural learning and language development.
The Grêmio Estudantil fosters democratic participation and serves as the bridge between students, teachers, and the school leadership. It develops critical thinking, leadership, communication, empathy, and teamwork as students plan actions and events, and is elected annually by the student body. Doe Humboldt supports social initiatives that foster community spirit and student engagement.
Doe Humboldt is a long‑running social action project that collects and donates uniforms and books (using the same ISBN as the school list). The effort promotes sustainability and helps reduce family costs, with organization led by volunteer parents coordinating donations and distribution throughout the year.
The Grêmio Estudantil fosters leadership and project management, offering students opportunities to exercise democratic participation, plan and execute projects, and communicate effectively. The student council is elected annually by students. Doe Humboldt also provides a platform for social initiative and teamwork through organized volunteer efforts.
The Tempo Integral after‑school program offers planned activities such as an English workshop, musicalization, gardening, cooking, motor skills, cooperative games, robotics, and storytelling. It runs until 5:00 PM or 7:00 PM and includes meals. The school hosts the Humboldt International Games, with 11 sports including futsal, swimming, fencing, volleyball, track, judo, basketball, sailing, handball, artistic gymnastics, and beach volleyball, drawing participants from multiple countries.
Colégio Humboldt – Deutsche Schule São Paulo is a German international school in São Paulo serving students aged 2 to 18. It is officially recognized by Germany as a Deutsche Auslandsschule (DAS) and is part of the global network of German schools abroad. The school offers a bespoke curriculum with two paths: Bilíngue and the International German Curriculum. Bilíngue comprises about 40% German instruction and a multilingual program in Portuguese, German, English and Spanish, aligned to BNCC and the German Bildungsplan.
