Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

FLY Educação is an NGO that works on socio-educational projects with high school students in public schools in the Brasilândia district, to provide learning beyond the standard curriculum (Projet Semente). It aims to develop adolescents' socio-emotional skills, promote self-knowledge, value their potential, and teach relational techniques such as Nonviolent Communication.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

English courses begin in CE1 with one hour per week and increase gradually; after immersion in French during early years, students learn to read in French and Portuguese and receive instruction in both languages in line with Brazil's Ministry of Education.

Mental Wellbeing

Projet Semente focuses on mental wellbeing through socio-emotional learning and self-knowledge, helping adolescents understand themselves and relate to others.

Safeguarding

Protection of students: The school is a place of education, prevention and protection. Any sign of suffering or abuse detected by the educational team must be reported to the administration.

The Lycée International Français de São Paulo, commonly referred to as Lycée Pasteur de São Paulo, is a Brazilian private school contracted with the AEFE since 1985. The school offers two curricular tracks: the general French curriculum and a Brazilian international section, serving students from age 2 to 17. It operates on two campuses, Vergueiro for primary and Mairinque for secondary, reflecting a two-campus arrangement aligned with different stages of learning. The institution is part of the Fondation Pasteur and is supervised by the Secretaria da Educação of the State of São Paulo; the Regimento Escolar is published annually, ensuring governance and transparency. The AEFE convention, renewed in 2020, links the school with French education abroad while maintaining local oversight. The Grand Lycée Pasteur project aims to reach about 2,500 students by 2035, signaling a long-term commitment to bilingual education and cross-cultural formation in a Brazilian context for international families.
