Chung Hwa Middle School sits on an approximately 8-acre campus and comprises eight blocks. The school serves around 2,000 students and about 130 teachers. The Secondary Block is three storeys with a music room, two art rooms and 20 classrooms, and the Primary Block is two storeys with a dental clinic, a counselling room and 40 classrooms; the Administrative Block is four storeys and houses the principal's and administration offices and three computer labs. Large multi‑purpose spaces include Darussalam Hall (about 2,000 seats) with a multimedia setup and a basketball court, Boon Pang Hall for dancing and drama, and Aw Boon Haw Hall for exhibitions and seminars. The campus also features a 50,000‑volume library on the upper floors, a Gallery of Arts and History, four computer labs, five science laboratories, a canteen, a cooperative store, health facilities, counselling spaces, activity rooms for languages and subjects, plus on‑site kindergarten facilities and related spaces.
Darussalam Hall is a large air‑conditioned assembly hall that can seat around 2,000 people and includes a basketball court for indoor sports. Boon Pang Hall on the first floor of the Primary Block is used for dancing rehearsals, drama performances and Wushu practice. A Basketball Court sits beside the secondary building and supports inter‑class and school tournaments. The P.E. Room stores sports equipment and supports gym activities.
The school has four computer labs, three used by students for ICT lessons and one for teachers' design work. There are five science laboratories—Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Upper Primary Science and Lower Primary Science. The library on the fourth and fifth floors holds about 50,000 books in Chinese, Malay and English. Classrooms across the secondary and primary blocks are air‑conditioned and equipped with whiteboards and projectors. The Gallery of Arts and History provides an on‑site learning space for visual culture.
Boon Pang Hall supports dancing rehearsals, drama performances and Wushu practice. Aw Boon Haw Hall serves as a multipurpose space for exhibitions and seminars and can host smaller gatherings. The Ong Tiong Oh Lecture Hall hosts workshops, seminars and student competitions such as drama and speech events. Activity Rooms support language clubs and subject activities (Bahasa Melayu, Chinese, English, Geography and Social Studies, Mathematics). The Gallery of Arts and History, Scout Room, Kindergarten Dancing Room and Music Room, Kindergarten Playground, canteen and the cooperative store underpin a wide range of extracurricular life.
Chung Hwa Middle School (CHMS), Bandar Seri Begawan, is a private, co‑educational campus serving preschool through secondary levels in Brunei's capital. The school is organized into three divisions: Kindergarten for ages 3–6, Primary School, and Secondary School. In Primary, the curriculum follows Brunei's 21st Century Education System, with Lower and Upper Primary delivering language‑rich instruction across 12 subjects, all taught in English, while Malay and Chinese are taught as languages. Lower Primary students take part in the government PSR examination at the end of Primary, and Upper Primary follows the same pathway. In Secondary, the school follows a 21st Century Education System framework for Year 7–8, with Year 11 culminating in the GCE O Level, and the Malay Islam Monarch Concept (MIB) integrated into the program. English is the medium for most subjects, with Chinese and Malay taught as languages; CHMS also emphasizes extracurriculars, including Academic Societies, Uniform Groups, and Sports Clubs.
