The school uses a dress code. Students are encouraged to wear the DK Schoolhouse shirt for school-wide events to show school spirit. Clothing must be clean and modest; hats and sunglasses are not allowed in the classroom except for approved activities or for religious or medical reasons.
Lunches are cooked fresh daily using fresh local meats, eggs, vegetables and fruits. The menus avoid white sugar, MSG, or canned, packaged or processed foods; sweetened soft drinks and high-sugar snacks are not offered. Students are encouraged to drink plenty of fresh water daily.
DK Schoolhouse is a Scandinavian-style preschool, kindergarten, and lower primary school in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It serves children from 18 months to 6 years in the early years, with Primary 1–6 for older students. All classes are conducted in English by an international staff, and the school sits in Phnom Penh's embassy district with convenient parking and secured drop-off zones. The curriculum blends Scandinavian-based learning concepts with American-accredited language programs and teacher-directed play-based activities. The school emphasizes building a community with parents, critical thinking and problem solving, and literacy. Arts are integrated through art, storytelling and drama, while technology and coding are supported by MRT, a robotics program for upper primary years. Remedial classes help close learning gaps. The mission is to provide high-quality international education in a nurturing environment that supports children's development and curiosity. The initial Primary 6 class was inducted in the 2021–22 academic year.
