NGIS has a sport club that includes swimming, soccer, and running. Physical education is part of the curriculum across campuses. Students participate in organized sports and outdoor activities as part of the extracurricular program. Coaches and instructors support skill development in these activities. Participation emphasizes teamwork, fitness, and sportsmanship.
NGIS offers a tri-lingual academic program with Khmer General Programs authorized by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, Cambridge English Language Proficiency programs, and Chinese Language Programs authorized by the Chinese Republic. The school holds MoEYS licensing. Students participate in Cambodian National Examinations in grades 6, 9, and 12 and receive a Cambodian Graduation Certificate. NGIS offers the Oxford Curriculum from Early Years to A Level and graduates may obtain Oxford qualifications in addition to the Cambodian certificate. Proficiency is in English, Chinese, and Khmer.
Extra-curricular activities include arts, music, study tours, and other outdoor activities. The school also provides nursing services and supports a range of student welfare initiatives. New Gateway International School (NGIS) was founded in 2011 and is presented on the school site as a tri-lingual institution teaching Khmer, English and Chinese. NGIS delivers the Cambodian (Khmer) curriculum alongside UK Cambridge programmes in Primary and Secondary and an IEYC programme for Early Years; graduates receive Cambodian high-school certification and Cambridge qualifications.
