The school emphasizes holistic learning and personal development as core to its educational project. Social-emotional development is integrated with academics to help students become leaders with values and knowledge. A Positive School Coexistence approach is cultivated, with a dedicated team focused on the wellbeing of all students across campuses. Across the Vitacura and Las Condes sites, a school coexistence team works to promote respectful, supportive interactions and a constructive learning environment. Students engage in classrooms, field trips, recess, extracurriculars, ceremonies, and other activities that foster mutual respect and social responsibility.
The school provides learning support and inclusive education through a dedicated support program and an orientation and inclusion team. A psychologist, a differential educator, an occupational therapist, and other specialists work within the program to support students with diverse needs across campuses. The team includes professionals for early years through secondary levels, and the school adapts plans to meet both national and German curricular requirements. Inclusive practices are integrated into the general curriculum and classroom experiences to support individual learning goals. The approach emphasizes individualized support within an inclusive school community.
The school operates a trilingual framework (German, Spanish, English). In elementary years up to 4th grade, learning occurs in German for core subjects, with a bilingual environment. In 5th and 6th grade, orientation enables continued study with guidance and language learning across subjects. From 7th grade onward, students may choose to study in German or Spanish, maintaining the same core curriculum. The trilingual emphasis enables access to international higher education, with the Abitur certification recognized for study abroad. English is part of the three-language framework supporting global opportunities.
Convivencia Escolar Positive fosters the ability to coexist respectfully and supportively within the school community, supporting students' holistic development. The School Coexistence Team coordinates ongoing wellbeing initiatives across campuses to promote safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments. A team of psychologists and other wellbeing professionals supports students at different levels, including early years, and provides guidance for social-emotional development, behavior, and mental health. Wellbeing is addressed through classroom practices, school activities, and dedicated support structures across both campuses.
A confidential reporting channel is available for all Corpeduff entities (including the Colegio Alemán de Santiago, Colegio Alemán Chicureo, and INSALCO) to report issues such as financial crimes, workplace violence, discrimination, conflicts of interest, data privacy breaches, and policy violations. Reports require identification of the reporter and the accused but are treated with strict confidentiality in line with applicable laws. Two emails are designated for reports: denuncias@corpeduff.cl for Karin-law matters and cumplimientoetico@corpeduff.cl for legal/ethics matters. The institution commits to no retaliation, objective and timely investigations, and transparent communication of case status to the reporter.
Colegio Alemán Chicureo follows a German curriculum for students aged 4 to 18. The program blends a bi-cultural, bilingual approach with a long German educational tradition. Timetables align with Chile's Ministry of Education and the Kultusministerkonferenz. Until grade 4, all subjects are taught in German in a bilingual environment; from grades 5–6, students enter Orientierungsstufe to deepen German-language study, and from grade 7 they may choose German or Spanish instruction with identical content and hours. The curriculum features natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences with a three-language emphasis—German, Spanish, and English—enabling access to international universities. DIA is internationally recognized and leads, after 12 years, to the Allgemeine Hochschulreife, with Abitur study possible at several Chilean universities. The school also offers a broad range of extracurricular activities, including sport, and fosters partnerships with local and international institutions to enrich learning and community life. It prepares students for diverse international universities while upholding ethical principles and social responsibility.
