Deutsche Schule Santiago is a long-established German international school serving learners aged 4 to 18 across three campuses: Cerro Colorado (preschool), Vitacura (grades 1–6) and Las Condes (grades 7–12). The school follows a bespoke curriculum balancing German and Chilean requirements and supporting holistic development through formative assessment and project work. In the early years a bilingual language concept governs learning up to grade 4, with all subjects taught in German. In grades 5–6 students enter the orientation stage to consolidate strategies and broaden German-language study. From grade 7, students may be taught in German or Spanish with content and hours aligned to the German International Abitur (DIA). The timetable aligns with the Chilean MOE and the KMK. A three-language emphasis (German–Spanish–English) supports access to international universities. With over 130 years of history, the school maintains a German educational tradition and engaged international partnerships.
