Join the Alliance Française de Santiago. Welcome to the admissions process. 1. Apply online at alianzafrancesa.postulaciones.colegium.com. When applying, prepare the following documents: a Chilean birth certificate, a French birth certificate, or a birth certificate from another country; a medical certificate confirming the student's fitness to join the school system; a signed financial form (downloadable). An enrollment fee must be paid online via Webpay, selecting Alliance Française de Santiago (2 UF for new families and 0.5 UF for returning families) and upload the payment receipt. 2. Family interview. After the application is received, the admissions contact will arrange a personal interview with the families. Guided visits can be organized starting in March if desired. 3. Application decision. The result will be communicated by phone or email. 4. Enrollment. Once admission is confirmed, enrollment fees must be paid to finalize enrollment, and two weeks are allowed to send the completed form. 5. Site options and capacity. The school operates on two sites, Vitacura and Chamisero. Families should indicate a preferred site when applying; priority is given to the first choice if places are available, otherwise the site with vacancies will be assigned. The school may have limited capacity and may have to refuse enrollments. 6. Admission policy. The school accepts students of any nationality, language, economic status, or religion. The admissions committee ranks applications by priority according to: siblings of current students and children of staff; families aligned with the school's educational project; children of alumni; children with ties to French culture; children enrolled in the AEFE network; and an interview with the families. 7. Dates and fees. The process covers admissions timelines and associated tariffs. 8. Contact. Admissions contact: Paulina Torres, Admissions Officer. The school teaches in three languages (French, English, and Spanish) and offers the French baccalaureate alongside the Chilean university entrance exam, enabling study opportunities in Chile, France, or abroad. It is an international, multilingual school that emphasizes critical thinking and global citizenship, with campuses in Vitacura and Chamisero. 9. Extra context. The Alliance Française de Santiago is part of AEFE, a network of French international schools, and AEFE supports teaching, staff development, and scholarship opportunities for eligible students. 10. AEFE scholarships are available to children of French families residing abroad. They are offered by local commissions established at diplomatic or consular posts and awarded after the advice of a national commission appointed by the AEFE director. To be eligible, children must be of French nationality and registered, or in the process of registering, at the French consulate, and attend a recognized French education institution while residing with their family in the country where the school is located. For more details, consult AEFE resources and the French consulate in Chile. Use of AEFE scholarships includes school insurance, transport, and meals. In Vitacura, the school arranges insurance through Clínica Alemana; in Chamisero, through Clínica Las Condes, with families covering any difference if the scholarship does not cover 100%. Transport and meals benefits are issued monthly: transport requires monthly payments for the chosen service and reimbursement procedures; school transport may authorize direct reimbursement to the transporter via a power of attorney; public transport uses Bip-enabled services (Transantiago and Metro). Meals are provided as monthly lunch tickets proportional to class days; tickets are distributed by Vie Escolar for Vitacura and by the elementary school secretary for Chamisero. Related resources include AEFE Excellence-Major scholarships and the Fonds de solidarité.
Located in Santiago, Lycée Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is a Franco-Chilean AEFE-affiliated lycée with campuses, Vitacura and Chamisero, serving children from kindergarten to Terminale. It offers a French curriculum homologated by the French Ministry of National Education and is part of AEFE, which coordinates pedagogy and staff development abroad; it is also a Chilean school under a MINEDUC decree allowing the French system within Chile's framework, so curricula from both countries are observed. More than 3,200 students study in a bilingual, bicultural environment designed to develop each pupil's talents while supporting their needs. The educational project rests on four axes: multilingual education; excellence and student success; formation of 21st-century citizens; and a pedagogy of innovation. The campuses host Centre de Documentation et d'Information (CDI) libraries with E-Sidoc catalogs. After-school activities (APE) and student governance foster participation, diversity, and well-being. A humanist approach underpins the education, emphasizing cultural diversity and enrichment worldwide.
