The Lycée Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is an international, multilingual school in Santiago with more than 60 years of history. It operates on two campuses, Vitacura and Chamisero, serving over 3,200 students from kindergarten to Terminale. It is a French establishment offering a program homologated by the French Ministry of National Education and is part of AEFE, which coordinates pedagogy, ongoing staff training, and funding. It is also a Chilean school under a MINEDUC decree that allows applying the French education system within the Chilean public education framework, so curricula from both countries are respected. The educational project rests on four main axes: multilingual education; excellence and success for all; formation of students and citizens of the 21st century; and a dynamic of pedagogical innovation.
The school is governed by the Corporación educacional Alianza francesa de Santiago, a non‑profit organization. The principal, the Board of Directors, and the General Assembly of Members are its administrative bodies. There are six councils that involve the whole community: the Establishment Council (CE), the School Council, the Secondary School Council, the Discipline Council, the Health and Citizenship Education Committee (CESC), and the High School Life Council (CVL). The General Assembly is the annual meeting where the financial statements, the audit, and tuition fees for the coming year are discussed. Founding Members include Alliance Française Paris and Alliance Française du Chile; active and cooperating members participate according to categories defined in the by‑laws. The President of the Board also serves as President of the Corporation and represents it in legal matters and externally.
The PTA is represented on the Board: one administrator by right holds the position of President of the Centre des Parents. The Board has nine members: one is a non‑elected administrator from the Centre des Parents, six are named by Founding Members (four by Alliance Française and two by Alliance Française du Chile), and two are elected by the General Assembly of Members. The Centre des Parents is part of the governance structure and contributes to the school's leadership through this representation. The General Assembly of Members is the annual forum for discussing the school's finances, auditing, and tuition fees for the next year. Membership categories include Founders, Active Members, and Cooperating Members. The President of the Board also chairs the Corporation. There are six councils that ensure broad participation by parents, teachers, and students in school life, alongside the formal governance bodies.
