The Arts (Music, Drama and Art) are promoted as an essential part of ongoing education, aiming for excellence, creativity, sensitivity, and social commitment. The Grange Arts Festival (GRAF) inspires the community through interdisciplinary links and co-creations with renowned artists, while also highlighting local artists and contemporary practices in Chile. You are invited to participate in our diverse co-curricular artistic activities. The Arts encourage observing the surrounding world to capture fragments that reveal unique stories.
English language support is available for seventh grade, and there are workshops introducing the French language. English and Phonics Club and the French language introduction workshop provide language-focused experiences, alongside Model United Nations (MUN) activities that support debate and public speaking. These language-related and cultural activities enrich students' communication and comparative cultural understanding.
Social and hobby clubs include Board Games Club, Book Club, Choir, LEGO Club, and a variety of art, craft, and performance activities. Students can participate in painting, drawing, pottery, storytelling, and other creative or leisure-based clubs that foster collaboration and self-expression. The program also offers activities such as dance, yoga, and mindfulness to support personal interests and wellbeing.
Service is a fundamental part of life at The Grange School. The Spirit of Service means students are conscious of and engaged with local, national, and international communities, developing solidarity, empathy, and a willingness to contribute to the common good and care for the environment. The school promotes the Spirit of Service in diverse ways, teaching students to participate in the community, give their best, and maintain a positive, respectful attitude toward others.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award – Bronze Level 2024 is offered, supporting personal development and leadership. Model United Nations (MUN) – ESU Debate provides opportunities for leadership, diplomacy, and public speaking. The After School Activities program fosters teamwork, leadership, and communication skills as students collaborate with peers and mentors. International tours associated with sports and activities further develop leadership and global perspectives.
The Co-curricular Programme includes athletics, swimming, volleyball, hockey, football and rugby, with additional activities such as dance, karate and yoga. Participation in these sports promotes teamwork, fair play, perseverance, effort, humility, dedication, and overall wellbeing. International tours and exchanges connected to sport provide cultural learning experiences as part of the programme.
The Grange School is a British international, coeducational school in Santiago, Chile, serving ages 4 to 18. Its ethos follows English public school traditions and four pillars: Academic, Sport, Arts and Service. The curriculum is bilingual and UK-inspired, with English as the main language of instruction. Lower Prep uses the English Early Years Foundation Stage framework for Prekinder and Kinder, while 1º–2º Básico blends the Chilean National Curriculum with the English National Curriculum. Upper Prep (3º–6º Básico) uses English/National Curriculum syllabuses alongside Chilean requirements, with specialist teaching in Music, Drama, Art and Design Technology. Senior School (7º Básico–4º EM) combines the Chilean curriculum with Cambridge IGCSE and A-Levels; English is a separate subject and many subjects use English textbooks; pupils are bilingual by Senior School. The Grange sits on a 92,000 m2 site with 30,108 m2 built. Facilities include two gyms, a 25-metre pool, a large field (divisible into three pitches) with a 200-metre track, an all-weather hockey pitch, bespoke spaces for music, art and drama, and planned IT enhancements. The Grange Arts Festival (GRAF) and extensive cocurriculars, after-school activities, and international tours enrich learning. English language support is available in seventh grade, and French workshops are offered; leadership and public speaking are fostered through the Duke of Edinburgh Award and MUN.
