It is governed by a Board of Directors with input from the school Administrative Team, and the student body represents more than 15 nationalities. The school maintains a low teacher-to-student ratio (no more than 1:8) with teaching assistants and staff supporting instruction. AIAN is located in the Beilun District of Ningbo and holds accreditations and memberships with WASC, EARCOS, and ACAMIS.
AIAN fosters a global, family-like school community that involves students, families, and alumni in a range of events. Alumni note events such as International Day, the Connect 5 Fair, Winter Concert, Chinese New Year Performance, Family Day BBQ, and Graduation, with alumni invited to ongoing engagement. The school hosts annual events including Christmas Concert, Chinese New Year Concert, Book Week, and BBQ & Sports Day, and supports a Connect 5 program that brings mentors from local organizations to work with students. Extracurricular activities, including clubs, Student Council, athletics, and service programs, engage students beyond the classroom.
The Access International Academy Ningbo Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is an unincorporated, non-profit organization. Membership includes parents/guardians of all currently enrolled AIAN students, all faculty members, and school administrators. The PTA maintains a constructive relationship with the school, assisting with planning, budgeting, funding, organization, and management of school events. It raises funds to support the functioning of the association and to purchase items outside the normal scope of funding and activities.
