Harrow International School Shenzhen opened in 2020 as part of the AISL Harrow Schools network. It is operated by Asia International School Limited (AISL) and uses Harrow School's name and badge under a sub-licence from Harrow International Schools Limited. The campus was established to extend Harrow's traditions and values into the region and to participate in the group's regional programmes and events. The school's development has been carried out within the AISL governance and partnership framework since its founding.
The Harrow Shenzhen community is active and event-driven: annual traditions such as the Long Ducker charity run bring together students, parents, staff and local participants (recent editions drew close to 1,000 participants). The school also takes part in AISL-wide academic and cultural exchanges, for example the Huasheng Cup Chinese–English debate tournament that involves multiple Harrow campuses. Parents and staff collaborate on seasonal and cultural events (including Christmas and Teacher's Day activities) and the school runs regular open events and community gatherings for families.
Harrow Shenzhen's parent organisation is called Friends of Harrow (FoH). FoH describes itself as a bridge for home–school communication and support: representatives work with school leaders, welcome new families, and coordinate parent volunteers. At Harrow Shenzhen FoH parents have supported school events such as the Long Ducker and seasonal performances, and have formed parent groups (a dance group and a choir) that perform alongside students and staff. FoH members also run activities intended to support staff (for example Teacher's Day acknowledgements), deliver parent-led talks or leadership/service sessions, and help organise fundraising and charity initiatives. The school has published FoH leadership names and committee announcements and FoH has been visibly involved in major social events such as the school's community Gala Ball.
