History
The school was established by a joint school-running agreement between Rong Qiao Group and Sedbergh School in the United Kingdom to create an English-style international bilingual school in Fujian. Construction began in 2017, with the foundation stone laid on August 29, and the first phase began on September 3, 2018. The school held its first opening ceremony on November 17, 2018 and was accredited by Cambridge Assessment International Education. It is a COBIS Patron's Accredited Member; UCAS authorized the school in March 2020 as an official registry for UK university admissions and COBIS accredited the school in 2021. In 2022 the school opened a domestic Gaokao pathway, became an ICDL Accredited Test Centre, and changed its Chinese name on August 15.

Community
The school hosts community and cultural events, beginning with the Fujian International Education Forum on May 13, 2018. The first opening ceremony in November 2018 was attended by more than 500 people, including provincial and municipal leaders and international guests.
