Six languages are taught at the school. French is the language of instruction; from kindergarten through the Baccalaureate, the curriculum emphasizes multilingualism. The non-French-speakers pathway (FLSco) enables access to all subjects in French with targeted language support. The school operates across two Shanghai campuses: Qingpu and Yangpu.
French As The Language Of Instruction (FLSco) supports non-French-speaking students with immersive French-language learning. There are two tracks: Intensive and Supplementary. The Intensive track lasts two years, with weekly hours varying by grade: 8 hours per week in K3; 10 hours per week in elementary (Grades 1–5); 12 hours per week from Grade 6; the second year follow-up is typically 5 hours per week in elementary and 6–8 hours per week in secondary. The Supplementary track provides 5 hours per week of French-language support from K3 to Grade 12; both programs are billable and fees are set annually.
The Lycée Français de Shanghai (LFS) is a French-curriculum school operating two Eurocampus sites in Shanghai: Qingpu and Yangpu. It serves children from age 2 up to the terminale (around 18 years) and reports about 1,530 students of some 60 nationalities. The LFS is conventionné with the AEFE and follows the French national curriculum while offering several language pathways, including Section Internationale Américaine (SIA), Section Internationale Chinoise (SIC) and a Section Européenne (English). The school runs a Français Langue de Scolarisation (FLSco) programme for non‑French-speaking entrants and a large extra‑curricular programme (ASC) with sports and cultural activities. The school publishes its annual tuition tables and practical information (campus addresses, admissions contacts) on its website.
