Soong Ching Ling School was founded in 2008 and comprises primary, middle and high schools. It is located in Zhaoxiang, Qingpu district, covering an area of nearly 100,000 square meters with a greening rate of 60 percent. The school currently has about 1,700 students in Domestic and International Divisions. It has state-of-the-art facilities, including a world-class library with books in Chinese and foreign languages, the Soong Ching Ling Theatre, and the Technology and Art Building. Outdoor fields, tennis courts, and football and basketball fields are provided, while indoor facilities include a volleyball, basketball and table tennis hall, a gymnastics room, a temperature-controlled swimming pool, and twenty indoor classrooms used for art, drama, chorus, dance, piano, pottery, instrumental music, and other disciplines.
