Shanghai SMIC Private School International Division provides access to SAT and AP testing and hosts an authorized ACT testing center. AP courses total about 21–23 offerings each year. SMIC graduates have a 100% acceptance rate to top-tier colleges worldwide, and high school graduation requires 100 hours of community service, supported by a full-service college and career counseling program.
Extracurricular activities include International Day, Sports Day, field trips, Model United Nations (MUN), proms, dances, art exhibitions, student plays, and music concerts.
K-12 Chinese language instruction and high school Spanish and French courses provide a four-year language sequence; in high school, Spanish and French are electives with AP Language and Culture options by year three.
Cross-age mentorship programs and after-school homework support develop social and leadership skills; vibrant extracurriculars include MUN, field trips, performances, and sports.

SMIC Private School (SMIC School) is a K–12 school founded by Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation in 2001 and opened to the public in 2004. The main campus is in Zhangjiang, Pudong (Qing‑Tong Road) and the school combines a Chinese-track program with an international (American‑system) division; the international division offers AP courses and is an authorised AP and SAT/ACT test centre. Facilities listed on the school site include science labs, language facilities, AI classroom and extensive sports facilities. The bilingual kindergarten lists class sizes and age bands (P2 = 3 years; K1 = 4; K2 = 5). The school states it provides daily Chinese instruction across grades while following American‑based curricular standards in the international division.
