The school follows the French national education program from kindergarten through high school. It is accredited by the French Ministry of National Education and is part of the AEFE network. From kindergarten to high school, EFIW delivers a hybrid instruction model in partnership with Wuhan Yangtze International School (WYIS). The language pathway is plurilingual in French, English and Chinese, supported by FLSco (French Language of Schooling) and EMILE (Teaching of a Subject through the Integration of a Foreign Language) programs.
The school operates in a multilingual, multicultural setting with daily use of French, English and Chinese. It offers a plurilingual program in French, English and Chinese and uses FLSco (French Language of Schooling) and EMILE (Teaching of a Subject through the Integration of a Foreign Language) to accommodate different linguistic profiles. Strong partnerships with AEFE, CNED and WYIS anchor international education at EFIW. The curriculum enables continuity of study in France or at other AEFE schools with consistent standards.
The school has a small community size with about 24 students, enabling individualized attention in a family, supportive atmosphere. The school day runs Monday through Friday, starting at 8:00; classes end at 15:20 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and at 11:30 on Wednesdays. Arrival begins at 7:50.
L'École Française Internationale de Wuhan (EFIW) est un établissement homologué par le ministère de l'Éducation nationale français et membre du réseau AEFE ; elle propose un enseignement français de la maternelle au lycée sur un modèle hybride en partenariat avec la Wuhan Yangtze International School (WYIS). Les élèves passent environ 40 % de leur temps en inclusion à la WYIS pour des cours d'art, d'EPS, de musique, de technologie et d'anglais (EMILE). L'EFIW utilise aussi le CNED pour l'organisation pédagogique du collège et du lycée. L'école met en place des dispositifs linguistiques (FLSco) et un enseignement du chinois dès la moyenne section. Le site indique un effectif réduit (24 élèves) et précise que l'établissement est géré par une association de parents et dirigé par Mme Banuka Sivasubramaniam.
