How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

1. Request Contact: Request contact by clicking 'Contáctame' in the left-hand menu. 2. Apply for Admission: Apply online by signing in to rochester.openapply.com/parents/sign_in and completing the Admission Form under 'Student Details', then click 'DILIGENCIAR FORMULARIO DE ADMISIÓN'. Have ready the following documents in electronic format: Birth certificate (PDF), résumé (PDF), applicant photo (JPG, white passport background), and photographs of both parents (JPG, white passport background). 3. Attend an interview, pedagogical activity: Attend a one-hour interview for both parents. The applicant will participate in a pedagogical activity (or the Transition to 7th grade exam) simultaneously. Applicants coming from Santa Barbara Preschool to Prejardín do not have to attend the pedagogical activity. 4. Accept the Seat: Accept the seat once the school assigns it, all within the admissions platform. 5. Enroll: Enroll the student on the assigned date virtually. 6. Inspiring and Happy Parenting Workshop: Attend the Inspiring and Happy Parenting Workshop for both parents before the start of the school year. Grade Equivalency: Grade equivalency is as follows: Prejardín — Prekindergarten, 4 years; Jardín — Kindergarten, 5 years; Transición — First Grade, 6 years; Primero — Second Grade, 7 years; Segundo — Third Grade, 8 years; Tercero — Fourth Grade, 9 years; Cuarto — Fifth Grade, 10 years; Quinto — Sixth Grade, 11 years; Sexto — Seventh Grade, 12 years; Séptimo — Eighth Grade, 13 years; Octavo — Ninth Grade, 14 years; Noveno — Tenth Grade, 15 years; Décimo — Eleventh Grade, 16 years; Undécimo — Twelfth Grade, 17 years. We focus the Skills on: • Interact politely and productively with colleagues. • Develop fully bilingual skills in English and Spanish, when listening, reading, speaking and writing. • Use mathematics to solve narrated problems. • Develop skills in music, visual arts, dance and theater. • Integrate motor skills, hearing and vision for optimal visual learning. • Swim in the four styles and practice common sports for optimal physical development. • Develop scientific thinking by using knowledge of natural, social and computational sciences to solve real problems. • Develop a sense of service toward others, strengthen your relationship with God, and optionally make the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion. We focus the Skills on: • Prepare for university with an eight-semester curriculum. • Develop level B2-C1 in Portuguese (CELPE-BRAS) or French (DELF-DALF). • Develop C1-C2 in English certified by the TOEFL iBT for international admissions. • Solve real-life problems with advanced levels in biology, chemistry, sustainability, physics, programming and design in computers, algebra, trigonometry, statistics, calculus, systems thinking, philosophy, history, geography, economics, citizenship and the Colombian constitution. • Develop leadership skills in service through sustainability projects and, optionally, confirm Catholic faith. • Implement an eleventh-grade capstone project that is investigative and useful to the community and related to the student's life project. • Develop advanced skills in a sport and an art sub-area among options such as aquatic sport, basketball, volleyball, soccer, toning, singing, an instrument, visual arts, theater and dance. • Obtain level A+ on the Saber 11 national exam.

Colegio Rochester is a co-educational, multilingual school with international accreditation, serving students aged 4 to 17. It uses a bespoke Curriculum B (August to June) that prioritizes learning through relationships and collaboration to develop competencies, attitudes, and values for life, with social-emotional development. Students become bilingual in English and Spanish, with listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills. The program covers mathematics for problem solving and includes music, visual arts, dance, and theatre, with integrated motor coordination. Scientific thinking is developed through the natural and social sciences and computing to solve real-world problems, with a focus on service to others and optional Catholic sacraments. University preparation spans eight semesters, with English targets C1-C2 for TOEFL IBT, CELPE-BRAS or DELF-DALF at B2-C1, Saber 11 A+, and 11th-grade capstone project.
