Fee Breakdown

Fees
Application fee

- No specific application fee amount is published in the school's publicly available admissions materials for American Academy in Zagreb.

Tuition fees (by programme and year)

- High School (Grades 9–12) — Annual tuition: EUR 12,800 for the 2026/2027 academic year.

- STEM High School (Grades 9–12) — Annual tuition: EUR 14,000 for the 2026/2027 academic year.

- Middle School Prep Program (Grades 7–8, preparatory after‑school program) — Programme fee: EUR 1,950 (annual programme fee as published).

- Per‑term (semester) amounts — The school year is organised into two semesters; if annual tuition were divided equally between the two semesters, the implied per‑semester amounts would be: High School EUR 6,400 per semester and STEM High School EUR 7,000 per semester. This per‑semester arithmetic is an equal‑division calculation based on the published annual tuition and the school's two‑semester academic year.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- The school publishes annual tuition figures and states that the academic year is divided into two semesters. A detailed public schedule of invoice dates, instalment options, or mandatory deposit amounts is not published in the school's publicly available admissions materials and parent handbook.

Boarding fees (if applicable)

- Boarding is not offered as a paid residential programme for American Academy in Zagreb; the school operates as a day campus and no boarding fees are published.

Other costs and fees

- Technology: All students are expected to bring a laptop or tablet with a keyboard and standard office software; this is an expected parental expense.

- Meals: Food service is provided through a third‑party vendor and must be paid in advance; meal costs are therefore an additional expense to tuition.

- Supplies and equipment: Students should supply standard school materials (notebooks, calculator where required, stationery). A scientific calculator is recommended/expected for math and science courses.

- Uniform: The school uses a casual / business‑casual dress code; there is no published uniform charge.

- Possible exam / external fees: The school offers Advanced Placement (AP) courses; any external examination fees (for AP or other external tests) are not listed as included in published tuition and may be charged separately. No specific exam fee schedule is published in the school's public materials.

Refund information

- A specific tuition refund policy (deadlines, pro‑rata calculations, refundable deposit rules) is not published in the school's publicly available admissions materials and parent handbook. For families who need exact refund conditions and calculation examples, the school's admissions/finance office issues the official billing and refund terms.

Fee payment options

- The school's public materials do not publish a definitive list of accepted payment methods (for example: credit card, bank transfer, local payment portals) or processing fees. Food service payment to the third‑party vendor is stated to be paid in advance. Official invoices and payment instructions are provided by the school's administration.
