American Academy Limassol is a private, co-educational school in Cyprus serving ages 2–18. Application and registration fees

- New students: Application and registration fee of EUR 500.
- Returning (existing) students: Registration fee EUR 250 plus a deposit of EUR 400 (the deposit is credited toward tuition). The school may release an existing students place if registration is not completed by May 1.

Boarding fees and package

- Full boarding package (includes tuition, accommodation, meals, transport to/from the airport, clubs and extracurricular activities, immigration arrangements, and medical insurance):
- Classes 1, 2, 3 & 4 (boarding): EUR 27,500 per year.
- Classes 5, 6 & 7 (boarding): EUR 30,000 per year.
- Boarding accommodation is offered for the full academic year including holidays if the student remains in Cyprus; rooming, meals (three times daily), laundry and 24-hour supervision are included as part of the boarding package.

Additional and optional fees

- Afternoon care / internal clubs: additional charges apply for after-school care (standard day and after-care hours described; services are charged separately and paid in advance). For students who stay in the afternoon and/or eat lunch periodically there is an occasional fee of EUR 20 per child per day (with three days notice).
- Subject-specific additional annual charges (examples shown by year group): Class 4/5: EUR 75 per year for each additional subject; Class 6/7: EUR 100 per year for each additional subject. Transport and lunch are charged separately and are administered by the accounts office.
- Miscellaneous purchases (charged in addition to tuition) include: school uniforms, books, student photographs, yearbooks and certain excursions. For example, a basic sports kit item listed for primary (jersey, pants and t-shirt) is EUR 15.
- International examination fees (for external exam centres) vary by subject, level and candidate and are payable directly to the examination centres.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- All school services are payable in advance on a yearly or termly basis.
- Standard instalment plan (three instalments): due 1 September, 1 December and 1 March.
- Annual payment: a 3% tuition discount is applied if tuition and all fees are settled in full by the schools set deadline. (Advance-payment discounts apply to tuition only.)
- Monthly payment plan: a monthly plan (10 payments from August to May) is available; payments may be made by standing order or credit/debit card and a commission fee applies for the monthly plan (EUR 50). Monthly agreements must be arranged through the accounts office.

Refund and withdrawal policy

- Tuition fees, pre-payments, deposits and registration fees are not refundable and are non-transferable under any circumstances. A full-term written notice must be given to the principal to withdraw a pupil during the academic year. If written notice is not provided, the school may charge for the following academic term or request payment for the entire academic year. School records and transcripts may be withheld until all balances are paid in full. A specific administrative withdrawal charge may also apply after enrolment in some circumstances.

Fee payment methods and administration

- Families may pay by annual lump sum, three-instalment plan, or the monthly payment plan; monthly payments may be processed by standing order or by credit/debit card (monthly-plan commission applies). Payment arrangements and exact billing (for transport, lunch and other optional services) are administered by the accounts office.

Curriculum

The American Academy Limassol follows a British curriculum taught in English and uses a modified English National Curriculum. In Secondary School, students study for GCSE/IGCSE and GCE AS/A-Level examinations and may also complete the Apolytirion; the school is an approved examination centre for GCSE/IGCSE and GCE AS/A2 Level examinations. Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school provides Personal & Social Education as part of the Primary School core curriculum. Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Learning Support Centre offers Homework Classes for pupils who have difficulties completing homework at home, and provides tutoring across English (Beginners and Advanced), English – All Levels, Greek, Modern Greek (IGCSE and A level), Mathematics, Russian, Fine Art and Physical Education (GCSE, AS and A level). Tutoring runs 2:00 pm–7:00 pm, with sessions at least twice a week.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

English language support is available for Beginners and Advanced levels, including English – All Levels and English for adults.

1. Schedule a visit. Visiting our schools provides a 30-minute information session followed by a 30-minute tour. Visits are scheduled Monday–Friday, 9:00 am to 14:00 pm. To schedule a tour, complete the registration form on the site or contact Admissions and Recruitment Office at +357 25 337054.

2. Prepare. Admissions decisions are made by the principal of each school. The admissions office coordinates the process and sets minimum enrollment requirements, application deadlines and additional requirements. Prospective students should prepare entrance exams in Mathematics and English (complimentary lessons are provided), an entry interview with the Headmaster, and keep on hand documents including two passport photographs, original birth certificate, copies of the student's passport/ID, copies of parent's passport/ID, attested copies of G.C.S.E /G.C.E. / IELTS / TOEFL, last school report, and health certificate for Early Years.

4. For international applicants; Upon acceptance. International applicants require a visa, and the team handles visa particulars to ensure issuance. Upon acceptance, the Student and Parents Handbook will be provided to ensure a smooth transition to school life.

Scholarships

Students are tested in English and Mathematics and academic scholarships are awarded as follows: 1st Place – 25% of the annual tuition. The 25% Class Achievement Scholarship is awarded to a single top-student in each class of Secondary School for the following academic year and is valid for one academic year; the top student is determined by the principal and his team. All students who participate in a national sports team are eligible for the ATHLETE scholarship. Eligibility should be confirmed with the Principal.
