How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

1. Applying to The Grammar School Limassol is a simple, personal process. All new students must take an entrance examination in English (or Greek for Greek speakers entering Class 1) and Mathematics. Before the school year begins, Class 1 students are invited to two induction days in September, giving them the opportunity to get to know the school and their classmates before regular lessons start.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

2. Cyprus public school students receive preparatory lessons for the entrance examinations. Grammar School Junior students are exempt if they have above-average end-of-year grades. Those with unsatisfactory grades must pass entrance examinations in English and Mathematics to secure Class 1. Class 2–4 new students must take entrance examinations in English and Mathematics.

The Grammar School Limassol follows the British Curriculum with Pearson Edexcel IGCSE. GCSE/IGCSE and GCE Advanced Level examinations are offered. Lower years are prepared for IGCSE and study across languages, sciences, social sciences, mathematics, and the arts. From Class 6, students select three or four A‑Level elective subjects in addition to the compulsory curriculum. Admission to A‑Level subjects is based on prior knowledge equivalent to the successful completion of Higher‑level GCSE/IGCSE or its equivalent. The modern Limassol campus provides well‑equipped classrooms, laboratories, and spaces for collaboration, with sports facilities to support physical education. Science laboratories support hands‑on learning and practical activities integrated into lessons. The school offers a broad extracurricular program including a Music & Drama Club with an annual musical production, Art & Design Studio with an annual exhibition, and a Greek Theatre Club that participates in Pan‑Cypriot competitions. The MedMUN Club develops debate and diplomacy skills, alongside other activities such as Science Fair, Debate Club, Mock Trials, and Eco Society. The school originated in Limassol in 1975 as a branch of the Nicosia network and remains committed to high educational standards.
